Two Palestinians were killed in clashes with security forces on Thursday at Beitunya, near Ramallah.
Military sources said 150 Palestinians who had gathered to mark “Nakba day” hurled Molotov cocktails, burning tires and rocks at soldiers and Border Police officers. Security forces fired rubber bullets in response, an army spokeswoman added.
“The rioting was very serious,” an army source stated. “This was a very aggressive attack on security personnel. We are examining the incident,” he added.
