EU Immigration Turkey

FAKE EU PARLIAMENT SIGNS AGREEMENT WITH TURKEY ON REPATRIATION OF ILLEGALS COMING FROM TURKISH SOIL…….

Alternative headline: How to milk the West to pay for your border security.

This is the basic duty of any state, secure your border. The Turkish government’s cynical use of its borders as a means to apply pressure on the European governments fed up with massive mass migration, proves to me that their aim is to keep punishing the EU for not admitting them into the union.

NOTE: All the more reason to leave the EU, single states shouldn’t be kept hostage by the Turks, nor Brussels.

(ANSAmed) – STRASBOURG – The European parliament has given a green light to a readmission agreement between Turkey and the EU. The agreement, signed in December, calls for the Turkish government to receive on its territory any expelled, illegal immigrants – whether Turkish nationals or from other countries – that have illicitly entered the EU-28 from a Turkish border.

”It is now up to Turkey to fulfill the commitments and implement the agreement in full,” said German EMP Renate Sommer (EPP), after the ”yes” vote by a show of hands in the assembly.

Ankara’s position is also clear: cooperation on illegal immigration to the EU proceeds hand-in-hand with negotiations for the liberalization of visas for Turkish nationals in the Schengen area, beginning from the signing of the agreement. Nevertheless, once implemented, the agreement ”will make a significant contribution in curbing illegal immigration into the EU as it passes from Turkey, and will help combat cross-border crime – especially trafficking in human beings – relieving pressure from Greece and the whole EU,” said Sommer.
