FINNISH TAXPAYER FUNDED STATE BROADCASTER YLE: IPCC REPORT FACTUAL, GLOBAL TEMP MAY RAISE 5 DEGREES BY 2030…….

What a terrible waste of taxpayer money, funding a pseudo news organization that believes parroting the approved narrative substitutes for real news journalism.

yle propaganda

At least elsewhere in the world where there’s some actual journalism in action, covering both sides of the GW debate isn’t an anathema. The Daily Mail reports that the Arctic ice cap increased in size by 29% in just one year, while the Washington Post reports that the Antarctic sea ice hit a 35 year record in the extent of its mass covering.

If the situation was reversed, massive amounts of ice being lost on both polar caps, we would be hearing about it in a 24/7 cycle loop. If they report on it at all (not sure if they have) no doubt the reports are sure to have been peppered with enough GW fear mongering to help mitigate the damage.

NOTE: The following article is but one in a series of YLE articles lifelessly paying homage to the UN’s IPCC group’s report on how serious GW is, in spite of all the data which speaks otherwise. Pathetic.

finnish prof says climate could raise another 5 degrees 29.9.2013

YLE: University of Lapland Research Professor Timo Koivurova says that the findings of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report released to the public on Friday may be optimistic.

The IPCC, established by the United Nations Environment Programme and the World Meteorological Organisation in 1988, is the leading international body for the assessment of climate change.

The panel predicted that the Earth’s climate will warm up up to five degrees if drastic, human-induced changes are not made to curb climate change.

In an Yle Morning TV interview, Koivurova said that the IPCC’s worst-case scenarios may be overly positive. He refers to the International Energy Agency (IEA) estimate that in 2030 the human race will be even more dependent on fossil fuels than they are today.

Koivurova points out that the expectations on the standard of living in Asia, one the fastest growing populations in the world, are huge. This, in Koivurova’s view, is one of the main challenges if greenhouse gases are to be reduced.
