US politics

The participants at the DNC convention haven’t a clue about what natural law or individual sovereignty means. None whatsoever. They probably couldn’t tell you why the US is a constitutional republic as opposed to being a plain democracy, nor would they be in favor of an electoral college or tell you why it was instituted in the first place.

Ronald Reagan:

“Well, the trouble with our liberal friends is not that they’re ignorant; it’s just that they know so much that isn’t so.”

They have no idea whatsoever about Charles de Montisquieu, John Locke, Edmund Burke and a all the other philosophers that had great impact upon the thinking of the framers of the US Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. People are actually more ignorant of their country’s founding than ever before. It’s high time to turn that dismal situation around.

Did it give any of them a second of ironic pause when they agreed that it feels good to essentially be owned by the government but probably nodded their heads in approval when Joe Biden told them the Republicans are the ones who will put them in chains? I know… had to ask though…

  1. That’s where it all starts. Once you belong to something, then that something owns you. This is uncomfortably Stalinist in my eyes.
These people need to be reminded that people shouldn’t belong to governments and that governments belong to people.
Obama is looking more and more like Chairman Mao every day.
