Last night on CNBC’s “Kudlow Report,” Rep. Spencer Bachus (R-AL) attempted to spin his way out of the growing scandal surrounding his stock trading activity at the time of the financial crisis of 2008. This morning on MSNBC, author Peter Schweizer listed in devastating detail the multiple trades Rep. Bachus made while he was privy to inside information about the impending crisis.

  1. If justice were to be served many of our ‘esteemed’ representatives would be wearing an ‘orange jumpsuit’ and be doing 15 to 25 yrs. in federal prison. Many of these feckless politicos make the rules that exempt or shield them from prosecution. Some even set themselves as elitists above the citizenry for whom they work and are sworn to protect, and govern in a manner to keep ‘We the People’ safe and free from peril and the nation from financial ruin. They seem to have no problem being wined, dined, and pocket lined by the horde of lobbyists that swarm around the Beltway like cockroaches in a filthy restaurant. Many come into office as average earners but in some cases leave as millionaires.
