Anti-Israel bigotry and bias Australia Israel

Finally some push back.

Not only are these boycott attempts immoral, counterproductive and just plain anti-Semitic, they are also a joke and an abject failure. There is simply no good reason to boycott the Jewish state of Israel for being involved in a conflict not of its own choosing. Israel has made repeated attempts for peace only to find out that its complete destruction is the bare minimum being demanded by the Arabs. Boycott Israel? Are you kidding me?  KGS

ANTI-Israel activists face investigation for alleged secondary boycotts under landmark attempts by the Baillieu government to curb the global campaign to target companies and businesses linked to the Jewish nation.

The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission has been asked to investigate anti-Israeli campaigners who have joined the global Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions group to determine if they should be prosecuted for threatening stores with Israeli ownership or connections.

The ACCC has been asked to consider injunctive relief and damages after 19 people were arrested following an ugly clash between police and protesters outside the Max Brenner store in Melbourne’s CBD on July 1.

The protesters allegedly blocked potential customers from entering the store as part of an “orchestrated campaign” to impose what the government believes is a secondary boycott on the chocolate and coffee store.

  1. Unlike the Norwegian government, the Commonwealth of Australia has been consistently supportive of Israel.

And to my knowledge, none of the six state governments have ever supported an anti-Israeli stance.

Here, every one is entitled to a “fair go” and the kind of boycott attempted by the far left fringe has no general support.

That is why we do not understand the anti-semitism of the wretched leftards that make up the current government in Norway.

  2. Typical of politicians in power sucking up to USA/Israel – that’s how they got to be in power in the first place.

In terms of their effects on freedom in Australia, USA/Israel is much more destructive than the Muslim world.

    1. Oh, I get it, liberty and constitutional rights for the individual, protection of property rights and rule of law that has overseen the protection of minorities and free market enterprise that has been responsible for lifting billions of people out of abject poverty…. has been more destructive than the Muslim world. LOL
