ARAB LEAGUE CALLS ON UN TO ENFORCE NO-FLY ZONE ON GAZA……..

You see how this works? The Tundra Tabloids stated earlier that the Arab League suckered the West into doing it’s bidding in Libya, spending ”It’s money”, “It’s time” and “It’s manpower” to enforce a no-fly zone in order to make itself look good among the Arab people, while not lifting one finger itself.

AL: Get the dhimmis to do the heavy lifting and foot the bill!

Now we see another angle emerging in their agenda, the use of the Libyan exercise to exert pressure on Israel. Samantha Powers, a radical Leftist and an Obama advisor who was quoted on a television talk show some years ago as saying she favored an occupation of Israel to enforce a peace deal with the Palestinians, has been aggressively pushing the R2P concept in the UN.

Now we see for the first time (as far as I know) UN peace keeping forces actually using their weapons against a side in a conflict. What gives? R2P is lifting its ugly head here, and folks, remember, while there may be actual conflicts worth stepping into the middle of to ward off mass killing, the ultimate objective in R2P is to hamstring the Israelis with the threat of using it.

I doubt very seriously any non-Muslim nation would be willing to pit itself against the Israeli air force, especially since many militaries have such a good working relationship with it. But lets be frank here, there is a concerted effort to launch an international military campaign, or at least a threat of one, against Israel, which should cause all of her supporters to stop and take note, even if its in the form of bluff and bluster. UPDATE: Sultan Knish has an excellent post on exactly what’s taking place in the Ivory Coast, a place by the way, the Tundra Tabloids visited during the 70’s. Islam is set to take over the country at the backing of the West.

NOTE: They would be foolish to try

Arab League to appeal for Gaza ‘no-fly zone’

Arab League Secretary General Amr Mussa announced Sunday his intention to appeal to the UN Security Council for a no-fly zone over Gaza, where repeated Israeli air strikes have left at least 18 people dead since Thursday.

AFP – Arab League chief Amr Mussa said on Sunday the organisation will ask the UN Security Council to impose a no-fly zone over Gaza, which Israel has pounded with air strikes in response to rocket fire.

Mussa told an emergency meeting of Arab League ambassadors that “the Arab bloc in the United Nations has been directed to ask for the convention of the Security Council to stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza and impose a no-fly zone.”

Israeli and Palestinian officials were on Sunday floating a ceasefire to end fighting in the coastal strip where Israeli air strikes have killed at least 18 people since Thursday.

But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned of an even stronger response if more rockets are fired from the Palestinian territory controlled by the Islamist movement Hamas.

The flare-up came after an anti-tank missile fired from Gaza hit an Israeli school bus on Thursday, wounding two people, one of them critically.

Even if Arab representatives at the United Nations succeed in convening a Security Council meeting, the United States, a close ally of Israel, is likely to veto it.

  1. This re-defines the word “Chutzpah”. Yet it is very consistent with Arab League goals regarding Israel (regardless of whether any of these member states have peace treaties). The goal is to get Europe and the United States to protect the right of Palestinian Arabs to murder Jews with impunity.

When Arabs complain that Israel restricts their freedom, there is only one freedom they actually seek: the freedom to murder Jews with impunity. Most, if not all other freedoms we know here in America are suppressed in Arab League States.

  2. P.S.

Given the massive arms purchases from America by Persian Gulf oil producing nations, one has to snicker at the fact that they are turning to others to do their fighting for them. Most of these nations are at war with Israel. If they want to protect the Gazans from Israeli counter attacks, it’s not as though they don’t have the air power to do it themselves. In this respect, the Arab League diplomatic stand all but displays the cowardice of the military regimes that keep these nations’ leaders in power.

Indeed! That is the reason for the no-fly zone in Libya. It is fully understood that the massive arms purchases by Arab/OPEC regimes largely serve one purpose: keeping the leaders in power by giving them the ability to murder their rebellious citizens en masse.
