Judge Susan Bolton: As a Clinton nominated judge
I for the life of me can’t rule against my own party, now can I?
This is a disgrace. What this judge has done is to thumb her nose at a federal law from which the Arizona law is based upon, in fact, it basically mirrors that federal law. The whole issue surrounding the Arizona law has become a farce, and frankly, that’s the way Obama administration has intended it to become, because the man’s not serious about defending US borders.
The problem of illegal immigration has plagued Americans through an umpteenth number of administrations over the decades, so both parties are much to blame for the present situation, but now that the people are fed up, and want it to end, in fact, demanding that the government protect the borders, we see gross inactivity and a “don’t call me I’ll call you” response from Obama, because he wants to use the situation to effectively help the Democratic party come November for elections.
The man who is sworn to uphold the constitution, which means defending the border integrity of the United States is sitting on his ass for political purposes, while going after a state and its governor for doing something that the US government should have been doing ages ago. The whole situation is stunning, and yet this moron of a president has the nerve to call into question Arizona law, a law he should be acting upon at the federal level. Incredible. KGS

Reporting from Phoenix and Tucson — A federal judge on Wednesday blocked most of a controversial Arizona immigration law just hours before it was to take effect, handing the Obama administration a win in the first stage of a legal battle expected to end up in the U.S. Supreme Court.
U.S. District Court Judge Susan Bolton in Phoenix issued a temporary injunction against parts of the law that would require police to determine the status of people they lawfully stopped and suspected were in the country illegally.
Bolton also forbade Arizona from making it a state crime to not carry immigration documents, and struck down two other provisions as an unconstitutional attempt by Arizona to undermine the federal government’s efforts to enforce immigration policy.
