Denying this poor excuse of an academic entry into Israel was just desserts. Every state holds the sovereign right to decide who may enter in, denying that privilege to someone who has been crucial in trivializing the Holocaust, and demonizing Israel and Jews….was the right call to make.
CNS NEWS – Israeli authorities have blocked an American professor known for his harsh criticism of Israel from entering the country, officials said Saturday. Israeli security officials said Norman Finkelstein was denied entry on Friday because of suspicions that he had contact with elements “hostile” to Israel.
Earlier this year, Finkelstein met a top Hezbollah commander in Lebanon.The officials spoke on condition of anonymity under Israeli security guidelines.The Haaretz daily said Finkelstein was questioned after his arrival at Ben-Gurion airport near Tel Aviv and placed on a flight back to Amsterdam, his point of origin.”
This is yet another example of an empty suit from the Left. Israelis have tough skin and are used to people having different opinions about their state, which means tough criticism, good and bad. But what they don’t care for, nor should they be expected to, are those voices that pass themselves off as “valid critics of Israeli policies” all the while they are busy trying to undermine the legitimacy of the Jewish state.
Finklestein’s type of criticism has long ceased to be valid when it crossed over into the realm of the demonization of Israel and anti-Semitism. He is an enemy of the state of Israel, so…don’t let the door hit ya, where the good Lord split ya. *L* KGS
