A bus carrying an elite group of Revolutionary Guards near Zahedan, the capital of Sistan-Baluchestan Province in Iran, was hit by a car bomb, killing at least eighteen men. This was indeed an act of terrorism, and reminiscent of another act of terrorism perpetrated against a group inside the state of Jordan. The victims of that attack were:
“two high-ranking Palestinian security officials, Maj. Gen. Bashir Nafeh, head of PA military intelligence in the West Bank, and Col. Abed Allun, a high-ranking Palestinian Preventive Security forces official”.
In both cases, the targets were members of organizations that either plan, fund or help carry out acts of terrorism, and end up being the targets of terrorism themselves. (The targeting of non-combatants does indeed constitute an act of terrorism) How ironic.
Perhaps when the Iranians get over the intitial shock of it all, they will reflect on their own terrorist operations currently going on in Iraq, Lebanon and in Israel, and decide that the indiscrimate murder of others for political gain is no longer an option? Not holding my breath. *L* KGS
It is quite possible that this is the work of NSA Black Operations. They do the hit squad work that the CIA can’t do anymore due to congressional restrictions.
Looks like it has more to do with homegrown jihadism than anything else. Iranian Sunni’s are becoming restless.
