It could have been “another-day-at-work” for Abdallah, if not for the intervention of the Overseas Indian Affairs Minister Vayalar Ravi and Minister of state for External Affairs E Ahmed. The executioner was denied the chance to practice his profession (this time around) when it became clear that the Indian, Jojo Joseph had strayed unintentionally into the Saudi holy city of Medina.
Joseph was heading by taxi to the hospital where his wife had just given birth to their child, and the driver made the mistake of taking the “Indian infidel” into the “Muslim only” city of Medina. It almost cost him his life, having been condemned to die by decapitation through a ruling of a Saudi court. Abdallah had to put ol’Betsy back in its sheath.
Thankfully the two great religions of Judaism and Christianity do not have similiar edicts, there would be alot of dead Muslims by now. More here. *L* KGS
