Nearly 20 years after a Hasidic Jewish boy riding across the Brooklyn Bridge was killed by a Muslim fighting jihad, a British soldier was hacked to death and reportedly beheaded on the streets of London by Muslims fighting jihad.

Thanks to the happenstance of a passer-by with a video recorder, the world heard almost immediately from one of the two London suspects, Michael Adebolajo. His hands red with blood, Adebolajo confessed to the murder of Lee Rigby, 25, that he had just committed in Koranically correct terms of revenge, presumably for Britain’s efforts against jihad in Iraq and Afghanistan. We also know that cries of “Allahu Akbar” (“Allah is great”) punctuated the knifing and meat-cleavering of the victim.

But if “Allahu Akbar” is the historic cry of Muslims engaged in jihad, it is also the contemporary trigger for Western denial that jihad exists. “We will defeat violent extremism by standing together,” British Prime Minister David Cameron stated, gravely opaque. How? “Above all by challenging the poisonous narrative of extremism on which this violence feeds,” he said, definitely not referring to the verses of the Koran that inspire jihad.

Islam, the prime minister was saying, has nothing to do with this murder in the streets. Furthermore, global jihad is not under way, and no caliphate in which Jews and Christians will defer to Islamic law as “dhimmi” is on the horizon.

Another passenger, Umari Nauman, told Sky News that cabin crew had said two men had repeatedly tried to get into the cockpit.

“The cabin crew informed us that basically they tried to come into the cockpit a few times and because they had been asked not to do that, they got into a bit of an argument with the crew and made a few threats.”

Philip Baum, of Aviation Security International, told the BBC: “This is certainly a significant incident, however the fact that fighter jets were scrambled to intercept is not unusual.

“Fighter jets are scrambled when there is a bomb threat, when there is a hijack, when the wrong transponder code is used or if an aircraft cannot communicate with the ground. Often the result is when there is an unruly passenger on board.

“What is interesting in this case is that it would appear that the aircraft was only 10 minutes from landing – these are initial reports coming in – when they decided to divert to Stansted. So to actually change a destination 10 minutes from landing would certainly imply that there was some serious incident taking place.”

After Obama extracted an apology from Israel, Turkey went on to flagrantly violate the terms of the agreement. A Muslim country violating an agreement with a non-Muslim country is routine, but it was still embarrassing to the United States which had negotiated the apology.

But instead of being called on it, Erdogan got a splashy trip to Washington where he rubbed the violation in everyone’s faces by dragging one of the terrorist daddies from the Mavi Marmara for a photo op with Kerry and a letter for Obama.

Prime Minister Erdogan was quite blatantly showing that the Mavi Marmara Jihad boat issue wasn’t done. Despite Obama Inc’s notorious hostility to Israel, Secretary of State John Kerry should have at least had the common sense to avoid a photo op like that because it wrecks the closest thing to a diplomatic triumph that his people had been claiming credit for.

But Kerry has repeatedly pandered to Turkey on the Mavi Marmara. In April, he went into outright outrageous territory.

You can put this down to Kerry being Hanoi John again. Or the usual hostility to Israel. But there has been a notable uptick in the Turkey pandering lately.

Youth gang riots in the Swedish capital Stockholm have entered fifth straight night. Hundreds of mostly immigrant teenagers tore through the suburbs, smashing windows and burning cars in the country’s worst outbreak of violence in years.

At least six vehicles were torched throughout the city late on Thursday while the police called for reinforcements from other Swedish cities bracing for further unrest.

Firefighters were putting out flames that engulfed several cars and a school in immigrant-dominated areas of Stockholm.

Obama stretches terror definitions in national security speech, claims ‘no large-scale attacks on the United States’ since 9/11

In a long-awaited speech at the National Defense University, Barack Obama claimed that the nature of international terror attacks threatening the United States has changed since Sept. 11, 2001, with ‘no large-scale attacks’ on America occurring since then.

But his definition of ‘large-scale attacks,’ his speech made clear, doesn’t include the 2013 Boston Marathon attack that wounded hundreds, the 2012 Benghazi terror attack that injured dozens and killed four, and the 2009 attack at Fort Hood that killed 13 and injured 30.

All those attacks had the potential to leave far more American bodies in their wake than they actually did.

One person jailed in Stockholm suburb riots, a 18-year-old Finnish man.

A 18-year-old citizen of Finland is the only person  imprisoned in recent days in connection with the riots. The man is suspected among other things, of arson.  The police took him a little before midnight on Tuesday,  in Husby.

According to Aftonbladet the man has a large number of previous offenses. Last February, he was convicted of theft and a drug-related crime. Previous convictions, the list is a number of robberies and aggravated assaults. Three times he has been convicted of assaulting an official, and eight times for the intimidation of an official.

They’re rioting over the shooting of a man with a machete by the Swedish police. Instead of thanking the police, perhaps they wanted the man to be able to cut and slice them first like mustard in London?

I’ve been there, interviewed their policeman in Rosengard, it doesn’t take too much to set off these morons.

Riots are spreading after extensive damage has been done as young rioters attacked police and set several buildings and cars ablaze in Sweden.

Hundreds of youth have burned down restaurants, police stations and set fire to more than 340 cars and attacked police during nights of rioting in the suburbs of Stockholm.

Rioters rampaged through the suburbs, throwing stones, breaking windows and destroying cars. The riots spread: police in the southern city of Malmo said two cars had been set ablaze.

One police officer was injured in the latest attacks and five people were arrested for attempted arson.

The disturbances appear to have been sparked by the police killing a 69-year-old man wielding a machete in the suburb of Husby earlier this month, which prompted accusations of police brutality. The riots then spread to other poor Stockholm suburbs.

Like I’ve said time and again, our beef is with the Mecca portion of the koran and the rest of Islamic texts that are vehemently anti-infidel, as well as those who insist on implementing the sharia for public consumption thereby subverting our free societies, as well as those Muslims who by their inaction, run interference for these fundamentalists (Basic Islam 101′ers).

That said, you will find some ‘modernist’ Muslims who reject the intolerance of their fellow believers, but the existence of such people does nothing to mitigate the violent, intolerant and oppressive aspects of Islam itself. That is the dilemma in the duality nature of Islam, and why it poses such a risk for every society that comes into contact with it.

NOTE: Pro-Israel supporters (within Israel and abroad) need to keep themselves from harboring fanciful notions, that this Dr. is representative of Islam in general. Yes there may be more like her, but their numbers are extremely minuscule, and completely void of any meaningful influence. As long as vitriolic antisemitic Islamic texts remain central to Islamic thinking, there will be no advancement in Muslim-Jewish relations either.

Muslim writer touts Israeli tolerance of minorities

British author Dr. Qanta Ahmed spoke on Wednesday at the Menachem Begin Heritage Center in Jerusalem about the difficulties for minorities in Islamic societies and how Israel is the only country in the Middle East that tolerates them.

The event was organized by Alan Schneider, director of the B’nai B’rith World Center in Jerusalem, and cosponsored by the Ecumenical Theological Research Fraternity as part of their joint Liaison Committee forum.

The forum serves as an informal initiative aimed at fostering better mutual respect and understanding between local Christians and Jews.

Ahmed is a British sleep-disorder specialist working in New York State, whose parents came from Pakistan after moving there from India.

She visited Israel for the first time and gave a lecture at the symposium on Wednesday evening dealing with radicalization and minority persecution in the Islamic world.

The rise of political Islam that has been particularly pronounced as a result of the Arab uprisings is a threat to minorities and to Muslims who do not agree with the ascendent radical ideology, Ahmed said.

The persecution of Christians and other minorities is not getting the attention it deserves from the mainstream media, she said, adding that only a Muslim like her can get away with criticizing Islamic societies without being castigated as a bigot.

Israel does not fit the description of an apartheid state and instead, the media ignores the real problem, which is in the Muslim world, she said.

Illustrating this point, she said that it was only when she went to enter al-Aksa Mosque that she was asked to prove she was a Muslim in order to enter. She did so by reciting the shahada – the Muslim declaration of faith, that states there is one God and that Muhammad is his prophet.
