Here is the money quote IMHO, that goes to the heart of Islam’s war against Israel. It explains the Muslim Arabs’ concept of “peace treaties”, their calls for a ”bi-national state” and their all out war against the Jewish state’s entire Existence.

Omar Bakri’s statements are not outside traditional Islamic thinking, and it’s high time people begin to realize the mindset that they are up against.

Dennis Kucinich opts out of Washington state race, will retire

Ohio Rep. Dennis Kucinich announced Wednesday he has decided against running for Congress in Washington state, where activists had urged him to launch a campaign. In a statement, Kucinich signaled the end of his 16-year congressional career:

Because of my love of public service, I have given a great deal of time and much thought to the advice and encouragement I have received from so many people of good will in Washington State. I certainly want to continue to be of service to our country and to the working men and women who have built it.

After careful consideration and discussions with Elizabeth and my closest friends, I have decided that, at this time, I can best serve from outside the Congress. My commitments to peace, to workers’ rights and to social and economic justice are constant and are not dependent upon holding an office.

When the outspoken anti-war lawmaker discovered over a year ago that redistricting would pit him against fellow Democratic Rep. Marcy Kaptur, Kucinich began openly eyeing a Washington state U.S. House bid, saying voters there were asking him to relocate.

Europe is a hot bed of anti-Israel sentiment, and the Left wants that to filter over into the US mainstream as well. But for the most part, the US still identifies with fellow democracies, not tyrannies, so the Arabs will have to move in that direction, the direction of liberty and freedom within their own camp, before the US ever takes a shining to them.

Conflicting definitions of ‘Pro-Israel’ on either side of the Atlantic

During a recent trip to Washington, I was introduced to an Israeli diplomat as the JPost’s European Correspondent. The diplomat issued a tart reply laced with biting sarcasm: “My condolences.”

The diplomat’s comments followed me throughout my experience at American Jewish Committee Global Forum event, where lively pro-Israel sentiment was palpable and evident.

In short, after being stationed for the past ten years in Europe, it is hard to reconcile my experience of the largely bi-partisan, pro-Israel solidarity AJC event with European attitudes toward the Jewish state.

To illustrate the differences in what it means to be “pro-Israel” on either side of the Atlantic, take the example of Jerzy Montag, a Green Party deputy, who served as the head of the German-Israel friendship group. A few years ago, while serving as the head of this group, Montag attacked the policies of the Jewish state in the Bundestag at a pro-Israel event.

His attacks prompted outrage from seasoned Israeli diplomats. I recall when one embassy diplomat turned to me and said: Can you believe what Montag said? The Israeli official chalked it up to an embarrassment for German-Israel relations.

More recently, Montag has consistently refused to advocate unilateral German sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran. Equally disturbing, according to his comments at a Bundestag hearing on combating anti-Semitism, he seems to not understand that anti-Zionism is an expression of anti-Semitism.

After my over 10 year presence in Europe, I appreciate that I may be stating the obvious for folks who have experienced the anti-Israel mini-movements that punctuate Europe. However, for those that thankfully lack this experience, it is worth stating very clearly: in the US and Canada, there are major countervailing forces that help stymie the kind of modern Jew-hatred—namely, the loathing of Israel—that contaminate broad swaths of Europe’s populations.

After having read about Germany’s Jerzy Montag, an apparent friend of Israel, consider now Canada’s conservative Foreign Minister John Baird—a different kind of friend of Israel—and the speech he delivered at the AJC conference. There, he equated Canada’s staunchly pro-Israel positions with core values such as “freedom, democracy, human rights and the rule of law” that are shared by the north American democracies “the US and Canada” with Israel.

My experience at the AJC conference caused me to reconsider the works of German Jewish social philosophers Theodor W. Adorno and Max Horkheimer, who produced research on anti-Semitism after WWII.

These two philosophers had recently fled the Hitler movement, when the AJC commissioned these two world-class geniuses to write a study about anti-Semitism. I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say that in order to understand German anti-Semitism—and European Judeophobia in general—Adorno and Horkheimer are practically pre-requisites.

Here is a section from Adorno’s famous lecture in 1962 about combating anti-Semitism. He noted that, “A particularly disingenuous argument is: ‘You can’t criticize Jews today.’

“The public taboo on anti-Semitism is turned into an argument for anti-Semitism, as it were: if you can’t criticize the Jews, the associative logic continues, there must be something to the things people could be criticizing.

Mosques’ advice: ‘don’t report abusive husbands’

Six out of ten mosques in Sweden gave women advice about how to deal with spousal abuse and polygamy that contradicted Swedish law, a media investigation has revealed.

Using hidden cameras and telephone recording equipment, two women posing as abused spouses visited ten of Sweden’s largest mosques as part of a report put together by Sveriges Television (SVT) investigative news programme “Uppdrag granskning”.

The women then asked leaders at the mosques for advice about how to address issues such as polygamy, assault and non-consensual sex.

Six out of the ten mosques visited by the women, who had also claimed that their husbands had multiple wives, told them that they should nevertheless agree to have sex with their husbands even if they didn’t want to.

Six of the mosques also advised the women against reporting spousal abuse to the police. Leaders at another mosque were divided on the issue, while women received vague advice from yet another mosque.

Only two of the mosques gave the women clear advice directing them to report their abusive husbands to police.

The women were also told by nine of the ten mosques that men had the right – under certain circumstances – to have more than one wife.

Only one mosque told the women that men didn’t have the right to be married to several women at the same time and that their husbands needed to follow Swedish law.

The advice, which in many cases advocated violating Swedish laws, came from imams or family counselors at the mosques.

When “Uppdrag granskning” host Janne Josefsson approached two of the largest mosques featured in the programme to inquire about their official position on matters discussed by the women, the answers he received were totally different than what the women heard.

The chair of the Islamic Association in Uppsala claimed in the story that people should follow Swedish law.

When confronted by what the imam at the Uppsala mosque told the women, the Islamic leader explained that the imam had expressed his personal opinion in urging the women to forgive their abusive husbands rather than report them to police.

The imam with whom the woman met at the mosque in Stockholm defended polygamy and also advised against filing a police report about husbands who beat them.

He suggested instead that the women try to show their husbands more love.

“Don’t refuse to give him love, because then he might change,” said the imam.

Upon seeing the SVT report, however, the board of the Islamic Association in Stockholm (Islamiska förbundet Stockholm) decided to suspend the imam immediately and launch an internal investigation.

“This is a clear breach of Swedish law and they commit professional misconduct in their capacities as imams and associations,” Mohammad Fazlhashemi, a professor and author of books on Muslim intellectual history, told the TT news agency.

Fazlhashemi, who also appears in the SVT report, has reviewed a written transcript of the advice given to the women.

“What these men are saying to the woman violates their human rights. The men demean and insult the women when they say ‘you need to tolerate that these men hit you’,” said Fazlhashemi.

He is highly critical of the imams featured in the SVT report for not following Swedish law.

“Considering the fact that the mosques have received state funding, they have also committed to following Swedish law and the basic principles of democracy,” he said.

Fazlhashemi describes the Muslim leaders featured in the piece as “conservative, letter of the law traditionalists”.

The Suicide Bomber Auction, Saudia Arabia

LIVELEAK: An unbelievable leaked video of an auction for a suicide bomber against Syria. This takes place in a hotel conference room in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The atmosphere is festive, and the audience has children in it. But the merchandise auctioned is human flesh and blood!

The video shows the father, Abu-Salah, attending the auction and offering his son Khaled as a sacrifice (2nd son to “sacrifice” his life) .The father receives 1.5 million Riyals ($400,000) as future compensation for his son’s demise in Syria. At one point in the video, the father is elated at the high bids.

The media and it’s endless biased positioning against the Jews. The guy who took the video, Richard Millet, is a hero, forcing the world to witness the thuggery that goes on in these anti-Israel circles.

Into the darkness

On and on it goes, this deranged vendetta against Israel and the Jews that we are not allowed to call by its proper name, on and on with obsessional intensity into ever-more alarming and astonishing bigotry and violence that is even now passing virtually without comment in wider British society.

Last night Richard Millett, an Israel supporter who tirelessly records and thus brings to light the venomous anti-Israel bigotry coursing through campuses and elsewhere, was assaulted and racially abused at a meeting of the Palestine Society at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London.

The pretext for this assault was that he refused to stop filming — even though this was a public meeting, and according to him there were others present who were also filming. You can view his footage here.

Last year, another Israel supporter was attacked at SOAS when his cheek was bitten by an anti-Israel demonstrator – an incident which was also filmed. At the subsequent trial, however, the individual being prosecuted was acquitted.

This latest outrage at SOAS occurred a few days after a jaw-dropping edition of HardTalk on BBC TV, in which Sarah Montague interviewed the rabid Israel-hater, the Jewish American Lord Haw-Haw Norman Finkelstein.

Giving a platform to this noxious individual was bad enough. But to introduce him, Montague stated the following:

‘American Presidents have long been criticized for being too in thrall to the Jewish lobby. The American Jews influence US foreign policy and that explains Washington’s unwavering support for Israel.’

Now it is possible that she was not asserting this as fact but merely representing the views of such critics in order to introduce the discussion. But she went on to say:

‘So what happens if American Jews fall out of love with Israel? That’s what the Jewish American academic Norman Finkelstein claims is happening … Could he be right? And if he is, what does that mean for Middle East policy?’

So looking at her introduction in the round, there was nothing to suggest that she was merely reporting the views of those who claim the ‘Jewish Lobby’ controls US foreign policy. It seems that she was stating this as fact.

In other words, the BBC is now peddling the ancient racial libel that the Jews exercise a unique control over the levers of power. And that is unvarnished Judeophobia. On the BBC. Paid for by the British public. The BBC won’t report the Muslim element of paedophile gangs in northern towns, but they will libel the Jewish people by stating a notorious bigoted trope as fact.

House report urges Justice Dept. to cut ties with CAIR

The Department of Justice is being encouraged to follow in the footsteps of the FBI in cutting off all non-investigative ties to the country’s largest Muslim advocacy organization, the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR).

The Fiscal Year 2013 Commerce, Justice, Science Appropriations Bill, which passed the House on Wednesday, contains in its Committee Report (a separate public document that spells out how agencies are expected to spend the money allocated to them) a recommendation that Attorney General Eric Holder follow in the FBI’s footsteps and sever ties with CAIR:

Liaison partnerships.—The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) was listed as an unindicted co-conspirator in a case in which the Holy Land Foundation was found guilty of material support of a terrorist organization. The committee acknowledges the attorney general’s refusal to attend certain meetings knowing that CAIR officials would be present, as indicated in testimony before the committee on February 28, 2012. The committee understands that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has an existing policy prohibiting its employees from engaging in any formal non-investigative cooperation with CAIR. The committee encourages the attorney general to adopt a similar policy for all department officials.

In January 2009, the FBI ended its relationship with CAIR and its affiliates across the country due to the conviction of those involved in the Holy Land Foundation terrorist funding trial, in which CAIR was listed as an unindicted co-conspirator.

Virginia Republican Rep. Frank Wolf, the bill’s sponsor, explained to The Daily Caller that with the FBI’s policy already in place it makes sense for DOJ to follow suit.

“The FBI has that policy now, and I think it’s a good policy — they were an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation case. We also commend the attorney general for not meeting with them,” Wolf said. “We think it ought to be a policy. If the FBI has that policy, I think the entire Justice Department should have it.”

The DOJ declined to comment about the recommendation, though Wolf explained that they will likely apply the policy. (RELATED: Full coverage of the Justice Department)

“I expect they will comply [with the recommendation],” Wolf said. “I’d be surprised if they didn’t comply.”
