He apparently didn’t get the memo form the supposed “moderates” that there’s no compulsion to religion in Islam……

No, he knew Islam alright, it demands the blood of the apostate. From Islam’s most respected hadith author, Sahih Bukhari (52:260)“…The Prophet said, ‘If somebody (a Muslim) discards his religion, kill him.’ “

NOTE: ROP: “Other verses that seem to support the many Hadith that establish the death sentence for apostates are Quran verses 2:217, 9:73-74, 88:21, 5:54, 9:66.”

Muslim leaders are hopeful the nation can move on from the divisions they believe were nurtured in the last months of the Abbott government.

Muslim leaders have called on Malcolm Turnbull to bring an end to the politics of blame they believe impacted their communities under the prime ministership of Tony Abbott.

Keysar Trad, spokesman for the Islamic Friendship Association of Australia, says he is hopeful Mr Turnbull will serve the interests of all Australians.

“Certainly the last period of the Abbott government saw more brazen attitudes from groups like Reclaim Australia and attacks on Islam, the Senate inquiry into halal certification; all these things that were very, very divisive in Australian society and seemed to find their nurturing grounds in the last few months of the Abbott government,” Mr Trad told AAP.

Mr Turnbull is set to become Australia’s 29th prime minister after ousting Mr Abbott as Liberal leader on Monday, winning a late-night showdown by 54-44 votes.

Mr Trad said on Tuesday he would write to Mr Turnbull in the coming days to congratulate him and to also seek a dialogue.

“Malcolm Turnbull does come across as progressive and as pragmatic, and let’s just hope that within this pragmatism there’s a good appreciation for a diverse nation,” Mr Trad said.

“Our diversity is part our tremendous wealth, it’s part of our richness, and let’s hope he can nurture that positively.”

  • The court heard Rahaman tried to offer the boy money and denied rape
  • Rahaman is a Rohingya Muslim – as was his young victim

A refugee who raped a ten-year-old boy has claimed he did not know sexually assaulting the child was wrong as it was ‘culturally acceptable’ in his homeland.

Mufiz Rahaman told Sydney’s Downing Centre Court raping children was not seen as morally wrong in his native Myanmar when he pleaded guilty to the aggravated sexual assault of a 10-year-old refugee on Wednesday, the Daily Telegraph reported.

The 20-year-old and his young victim are both stateless Rohingya Muslims – a group of people considered illegal immigrants from Bangladesh by the Buddhist-majority in Myanmar – who came to Australia to flee religious persecution.

The court heard Rahaman preyed on the young boy while he was living with a group of refugees, including his father, at a vacant RSL club in Lakemba, a suburb in Sydney’s south west, on January 8, 2015.

According to documents tendered to the court, he crept into the child’s bedroom – which he shared with his father – as he slept and took off the boy’s underpants.

He then raped the boy, who arrived in Australia in 2013, while his father was in another room preparing lunch.

Queensland hostel stabbing leaves female British backpacker dead and man wounded

Frenchman Smail Ayad (left), 29, reportedly told other hostel guests he was married to British backpacker Mia Ayliffe-Chung (top right), 21, before allegedly stabbing her to death. Ayad was arrested while yelling ‘Allahu Akbar’ after he allegedly went on a rampage, killing the travelling waitress and student, who has been described by friends as ‘an infectiously happy girl’.

British man Tom Jackson (inset), 30, was also critically wounded when he was stabbed in the face 15 times trying to save Ms Ayliffe-Chung at Shelley’s Backpackers in Home Hill, south of Townsville.

Photographs of Ms Ayliffe-Chung on her Facebook page show she had been travelling around Australia, and had previously studied childcare at Buxton College and psychology at Chesterfield College in the UK. Australian man, Grant ‘Grunta’ Scholz, and British man Chris Porter also received minor injuries.

Tributes have started flowing in for the 21-year-old woman (bottom right).

British woman dead and two men injured after stabbing in Queensland

A French man allegedly cried “Allahu Akbar” during a stabbing attack that left a 21-year-old British woman dead in front of up to 30 onlookers at a backpackers hostel in Australia’s north-east.

The 29-year-old suspect allegedly repeated the phrase – which means God is greatest in Arabic – when arrested by Queensland police who were “confronted with a terrible scene” at the hostel in Home Hill – about 100km south of Townsville – on Tuesday night.

Steve Gollschewski, a deputy police commissioner, said the alleged offender’s comments “may be construed as being of an extremist nature” and investigators were working with Australian federal police to establish his motives.

But police were “not ruling out any motivations at this early stage, whether they be criminal or political”.

A MUSLIM extremist who left Australia to fight with the Islamic State “Daesh” death cult in Syria has threatened to “spill blood” in Australia.

Suhan Rahman, 23, has posted pictures of himself online with Australian terrorists Mohamed Elomar and Mahmoud Abdullatif.

In the past few months Rahman’s social media took a chilling turn as he posted gruesome photos of dead bodies.

The Australian Federal Police Counter-Terrorism Squad has spoken to Rahman’s family in Melbourne and are monitoring his activities overseas.

His distraught father Lutfur Rahman told The Daily Telegraph Rahman had brought “shame” on the family. “We hoped he would never get into this type of thing,’’ he said.

Victoria Police are investigating a threat Rahman made on social media in which he warned of an attack in Australia. The Daily Telegraph has chosen not to detail the specific nature of the threat, which was made on Monday.

Rahman is linked to a well-known Melbourne crime family and has a criminal history.

Four people reportedly injured in a Sydney shopping centre knife confrontation:

It is believed police shot a 23-year-old man wielding a knife at least three times after a stabbing.

It is understood as many as four people have suffered injuries, including to their lower limbs and abdomen. They range from serious to critical.

Local businessman Geoff Milner saw the attacker walking through the lunchtime market stalls holding a knife.

“I saw this old couple staring at him and that’s when I realised he had a full knife,” he said.

Mr Milner said police arrived shortly after.

“When I walked out of the cafe he was just standing there, like he was waiting for them.”

Early reports indicated the attacker was alive following the police response. More to come.

UPDATE. Seven’s Robert Ovadia reports the man was heard shouting “Allahu Akhbar”.

Assistant Commissioner Denis Clifford said the armed man was known to police and had been reported missing from a nearby psychiatric centre yesterday.

“It will be alleged the man approached police with a large carving knife, the officers each fired shots at the offender and he was wounded several times,” he said.

UPDATE III. A witness reports:

Mr Yeom said he believed three shots were fired and it appeared police were aiming for the man’s legs.

The only way to de-radicalize a Muslim is to convert him to something else.

H/T: Warren Raymond (pbuh):

“It is schizophrenic to allow Mohammedan migration into civilised countries, to allow them to build mosques and to proselytise, to allow their hate preachers to implant the seeds of jihad-terror and genocide in their young, and then, on the other hand, to blow taxpayer funds on some idiotic “deradicalisation” programs, that are usually run by Mohammedan taqiyya doctors.”

Program turning teens from terror faces review

An official de-radicalisation program aimed at pulling young Australian Muslims back from the brink of extremism will be reviewed following the arrest on terrorism charges of one of its former participants.

NSW Police Deputy Commissioner Catherine Burn has confirmed the draft program, which was already due to be reviewed, will be subject to further scrutiny after a 16-year-old Sydney boy who was participating in the initiative was arrested over allegedly planning a terrorist attack.

“As a result of recent events we are also reviewing the program to make sure it can be effective as it can be,’’ Ms Burn told The Australian. “While we cannot guarantee that the program will be successful on all occasions we will continue to provide this pathway while also ensuring that we do all we can to maintain the safety and security of our community.’’

In April, the 16-year-old was arrested after he allegedly sought to obtain a weapon for a terrorist attack. The youth, who remains in custody, was allegedly planning an attack to coincide with Anzac Day commemorations.

A plan to build a new mosque in Melbourne’s south eastern suburbs has been unceremoniously dumped by Casey council, in an unusual meeting on Tuesday night that was more reminiscent of a staged political announcement.

Only about half of the people who turnead up to watch the proceedings, many wielding banners with slogans such as “Stop Racism Now”, were able to fit into the council chambers.

About one hundred were left outside, the doors to the civic centre guarded by a line of police.

Inside, Casey Mayor Sam Aziz read out a pre-prepared speech endorsing a recommendation by council officers not to allow a permit for the mosque with a “typical Islamic dome style roof” and 25-metre minaret on a vacant rural property on Belgrave-Hallam Road in Narre Warren.

He slammed a report in The Age suggesting that pressure from far-right groups had helped kill off the mosque plan, and added an additional, hard-line, clause in the motion to be voted on by council.

Two sides of the same societal jihad coin…..

There is only a nuance in the differing strategies of societal takeover between violent jihadis and adherents of MB Salafism. One group wields a Kalashnikov, the other a computer keyboards and infiltrate the many religious dialogue panels and op-ed columns.

Mark Durie at MEForum

“The Brotherhood is more deceptive in language and appearance than Salafis. Salafis tend to be separatist and can give the impression of being focused upon personal religious piety, which separates them from those who do not share their beliefs. Salafis also tend to speak using pious religious jargon, making few concessions to the communicative norms of others. This is mirrored in their manner of dress, which concedes nothing to secular fashion sense.

In contrast the Brotherhood’s approach is to penetrate and transform western institutions, with the ultimate aim of bringing about the same end as the Salafis. The Brotherhood may seem more pragmatic and accommodating than Salafis, but this is little more than a strategic tactic on their part, not evidence of a fundamental difference in ultimate goals. Brotherhood ideologues can be very skilled in modifying their rhetoric to suit their audience, but this is not an art Salafis have much time for.”

Australian Muslims speak up

Nine men and women from around Australia give voice to what it’s really like to live as a Muslim. Aisha Novakovich, 32, community advocate, law student and mother of two tells of her journey to radicalism and back. Beau Donelly reports.

As a teenager, I had a laminated photo of Osama Bin Laden in my bedroom. A friend once saw the photo and demanded to know why I had it. I told her he was my hero and that I wanted to be one of his wives; that the media was manipulating his image because he was challenging US hegemony.

From the age of 14, I wore the niqab – the full face veil – with gloves. My mother hated it and said I was becoming a fanatic. For me, it became a marker of difference in the face of discrimination. At university I was determined to learn the political systems in the West in order to subvert and challenge them from within. I believed we needed a caliphate. Eventually, I started to flirt with ways I could leave Australia to join the fight against foreign oppressors. Given different circumstances and times, I might have joined a terrorist organisation when I was younger.

An Australian prison boss has been stood down and a state inquiry launched after the attack on Thursday

An Australian prisoner who supports the so-called Islamic State has allegedly used a knife to carve a slogan on to his cellmate’s head.

Reports said the Islamic State mantra “e4e”, standing for “an eye for an eye”, was carved into the man’s head.

An inquiry will examine how the high-risk attacker, 18, came to be housed with his 40-year-old cellmate.

New South Wales Corrections Minister David Elliot said placing the pair in the same cell was “a stuff-up”.

The attack took place at the Mid North Coast Correctional Centre in Kempsey, 4.5 hours north of Sydney.

The injured man was a minimum-security prisoner and the teenager, named by multiple sources as Bourhan Hraichie, was a maximum-security prisoner.

A Corrections Department spokesperson said the 18-year-old had been jailed for stealing, not terrorism-related offences.

“What is the ruling on promoting democracy”?

Shaykh Muhammad Saalih al-Munajid:

“Democracy is a system that is contrary to Islam (because) legislative authority is given to someone other than Allah, may He be exalted. In these systems legislation has been promulgated allowing abortion, same-sex marriage and usurious interest (riba); the rulings of sharee‘ah have been abolished; and fornication/adultery and the drinking of alcohol are permitted. In fact this system is at war with Islam and its followers.

The scholars of the Standing Committee for Issuing Fatwas were asked:

Is it permissible to vote in elections and nominate people for them? Please note that our country is ruled according to something other than that which Allaah revealed?

They replied:

It is not permissible for a Muslim to nominate himself in the hope that he can become part of a system which rules according to something other than that which Allaah has revealed and operates according to something other than the sharee’ah of Islam. It is not permissible for a Muslim to vote for him or for anyone else who will work in that government, unless the one who nominates himself or those who vote for him hope that by getting involved in that they will be able to change the system to one that operates according to the sharee’ah of Islam, and they are using this as a means to overcome the system of government, provided that the one who nominates himself will not accept any position after being elected except one that does not go against Islamic sharee’ah. • People have gathered in Cronulla to remember the 2005 riots and two men had been arrested by about 2pm
  • Heavy police presence was in place but the right-wing group gathered at Don Lucas Reserve was small
  • Vocal opposition to the far-right group holding the barbecue also arrived in Cronulla on Saturday

  • A far-right activist, Nick Folkes, claims his car tyres were slashed on riot anniversary before he attended

Two people have been arrested at a halal-free barbecue being held in place of the Cronulla riots ‘memorial’ rally as a group of anti-racism protesters attended the event.

About 80 right-wing activists converged on Don Lucas Reserve for the ’10 year memorial’ of the 2005 Cronulla riots – but they were outnumbered by police and protesters.

A police spokeswoman told Daily Mail Australia a 58-year-old man from Warilla was arrested for offensive behaviour and a 25-year-old man from Seaforth for breaching the peace.

As the barbecue went ahead with right-wing speakers addressing those assembled via loudhailer, the chanting protesters attempted to break away from the police surrounding them at times, however, police managed to keep control.

They give absolutely no reason as to why he’s deemed as “far-right”, nor any clue to what they mean by the term itself, other than being anti-Islam. This kind of ad hominem attack is standard fare for most of the international and local media, it’s lazy, disingenuous and highly politically motivated.

They give far more care in using the word, terrorism and terrorist (claiming it to be a highly political term), than they do with the term “far-right”, which they throw around willy nilly at those they do not like.

NOTE: Is the guy ”far-right” (a term bogus to begin with, it actually means an ultra-nationalist socialist, with socialism being a left ideology), we will never know, since this style of below par journalism never changes.

Twelve men and boys living in Australia are being watched closely by authorities because they are capable of committing an act of terror as police investigate how Parramatta shooter Farhad Jabar, 15, became radicalised

A group of men and boys living in Australia are being watched closely by authorities because they are capable of committing an act of terror reportedly attempted to recruit a 14-year-old boy.

Photos of the young boy posing with guns were found when police raided his home earlier this year, according to the ABC.

The 12 men who attempted to recruit the boy are part of a wider group of 19 people, including some who are already in jail, and are being monitored by anti-terrorism police, according to Australian Federal Police’s counter-terrorism chief, Neil Gaughan.

‘I think there can be no doubt that there’s a small group in Sydney that are engaged in activity which wants to upset the Australian way of life,’ Assistant Commissioner Gaughan told ABC’s Four Corners.

Since police carried out its largest counter-terrorism raids in September last year under Operation Appleby, more than 30 people have faced court on terrorism-related charges.

‘The first series of Appleby raids saw one person arrested with a large number of police involved,’ Gaughan said.

‘Since that time, 10 of those persons involved in the raids are currently in custody or before the court and we’ve laid in excess of 30 charges.’

Police have given some of those being watched ‘control orders’ because of the high risk of them carrying out a terrorist attack.

Among those with a interim control order is 20-year-old Ahmad Saiyer Naizmand who tried to flee Australia with his brother’s passport last year but was detected by police.

The order prohibits him from associating with 18 other men and boys, including two men – Talal Alameddine and Raban Alou – charged over the fatal shooting of police worker Curtis Cheng in Parramatta in Sydney’s west last month, which was carried out by 15-year-old Farhad Jabar.

Police are looking at how the teenager, who was shot dead in a police shoot out, could have been radicalised to carry out the terrorist attack.

Navy desecrates Australian War Memorial

Exclusive by Chaucer

Vice Admiral Tim Barrett AO SCS RAN, Chief of the Royal Australian Navy used the sanctity of the Australian War Memorial in Canberra for a politically correct stunt. The Chief’s appalling judgment offers a disappointing vignette of how and where the madness of PC and “inclusion” is leading our ADF—the navy in this case.

Those who can detect puffery can only hope that VADM Barrett did not write the following speech he delivered on 23 June 2015. A rambling discourse of clichés, worthless platitudes and deception is perhaps indicative of the bumbling confusion now rife throughout the ADF at senior officer level.

Showcasing the single religion of Islam, rather than the nation’s diverse ethnicities, the Navy staged an “Inaugural Ramadan Iftar Dinner” with the Grand Mufti of Australia, Dr Ibrahim Abu-Mohamed as a guest of honour. VADM Barrett should know that such a hallowed venue would be off-limits for the exploitation of political/religious partiality. He should also know that unlike Christianity, Islam does not separate religion from state and that political directions of Islam are derived directly from the Qur’an.

Islamist group Hizb ut-Tahrir decries ‘forced Muslim assimilation’

islam in australia not compatible

Requiring schoolchildren to sing the national anthem, and the citizenship pledge supporting democratic values, are part of an oppressive campaign by Australian authorities of “forced assimilation” of the Muslim community, a conference heard this morning.

The conference held by Islamist activist group Hizb ut-Tahrir entitled “Innocent Until Proven Muslim” is taking place at Bankstown in Sydney’s west, attended by about 800 people.

Hizb ut-Tahrir spokesman Uthman Badar told the conference the Australian government “claims to afford freedom, but seeks to impose values and beliefs” on Muslims.

Muslims were expected to not just be gracious about Australian values, but publicly promote them, Mr Badar said.

This imposition of secular western values was reflected in the oath when taking out citizenship, Mr Badar said, with new citizens required to pledge allegiance to Australia “whose democratic beliefs I share”.

“It’s not enough that you obey the law, no, you have to adopt our values,” Mr Badar told the conference.

Similarly, Mr Badar said, schoolchildren were required to sing the national anthem, which he said, “reflects a disputed view of history”.

“If you don’t share those values, why should they be forced to sing it?” Mr Badar said.
