In the city of Oulu there has been a more frequent announcement of child sexual abuse last year of prior years.
A total of 38 minors were found to be published by the police in the January-May crime statistics. The full-year abuse alert rate would rise to more than 90 if the reporting pace continued until the end of the year. Last year, 64 underage victims were booked, representing an increase of more than 40%.
The number of persons sexually exploiting children has risen by about 55%. This number also includes the guardians of the victims.
The evening newspaper consisted of statistics on the graph showing the evolution of the exploitation notices in Oulu, 2017-2018 and the forecast for the year 2019, if the development of the first year continues unchanged. The victims are are grouped by age, by the police Board statistics.
