Allah Akbar Shouts Interrupt Two Minute Silence for War Deaths
Annually on May 4th, is the National Memorial Day to commemorate those killed in World War II. This year, the two minute silence held at the German concentration camp, Vught was interrupted by shouts of Allah Akbar. Possibly they came from Muslim inmates at the nearby jail.
Commemoration of the dead Vught disturbed by ‘Allahu Akbar’ cries: ‘Probably from PI’
Mayor Roderick suspects that the Arab battle cries were shouted from prison in Vught by detainees.
“This disruption is unheard of. I believe that those responsible should be addressed. At eight o’clock when we think together in silence how much has been suffered and how much misery there has been, you must show respect for grief. This is exceptionally disrespectful. ”
