He’s caught and the only thing is, he was caught too damn late, the media really wasn’t interested in him until after the elections…
HS: SDP’s al-Taee admits that he could have written slanderous comments about Jews, Kurds, Sunnis and Gays
Al-Taee says that he doesn’t remember literally what he has written.
The Facebook posts by Hussein al-Tae, who became a member of Parliament in Spring’s parliamentary elections, rose to the forefront in the past week. Al-Taee, among other things, paralleled the equated the actions of Israel and Isis in late October 2014.
Al-Taee has regretted the posts and on Tuesday also apologized to his party’s SDP parliamentary group.
The publicized Facebook posts have been in an open Facebook group. Now he tells Helsingin Sanomat that he may also have written other, minor-offensive messages.
HS says that on Thursday, al-Taee agreed to talk on the phone for over 20 minutes. He still relied on his memory but said he could have written the comments shown to him. In these writings, Jews, Kurds, Sunnis and Gays were found.
– I have tried to recall various images. And I can only say about them that I remember those parts of my life. I remember I could have written something like that. But I do not remember word for word what I wrote, Al-Taee says to Helsingin Sanomat.
