When a man unable to get 13 year old girl into Helsinki disco, he took her to a friend’s apartment and violently raped her.
A man took a drunken 13-year-old to his friend’s apartment and raped her violently. A man with a foreign background, born in 1994, was sentenced today in the District Court of Helsinki for aggravated rape and aggravated sexual abuse of a child.
The crime took place in Helsinki in the summer of 2017. According to his own testimony, before going to the apartment, he had tried to enter a “disco” with the child. However, this was not successful, after which the two left for his friend’s apartment.
According to the man, he went to bed at his friend’s apartment and was nothing happened.
However, he also said that he had previously had sex in the same apartment because he himself lived in a reception center where no sexual partners could be taken. Still, he tried to convince that he only had sex with adults and that he has not had sex with anyone under the age of 20 in Finland.
The victim however told that the man had raped her.
Indications of semen in the underpants
According to the child’s story, the man was suddenly in the apartment and forced her underwear off and pushed his penis into her.
In court, the child’s story was supported by forensics carried out by the KRP Laboratory, which found signs of semen in the underpants of the child.
The man was found guilty of rape and aggravated sexual abuse of the child. The man was sentenced to 3 years and 6 months’ imprisonment. The Vantaa Prison was designated as the place of transit.
In addition to imprisonment, the man has to pay the victim EUR 15,000 in compensation for the incident.
The judgment is not final, ie an appeal may be made to the Court of Appeal.
