Finland Tommy Robinson

British singer Morrissey cancels Finnish gig, state media cites support of ‘far-right’ activist Tommy Robinson as reason…….

Tommy of course is no ‘far-right’ activist, not even close. Knowing him personally, I can vouch for his character, there is nothing in his politics that speaks of racism or totalitarianism, quite the opposite.

In the midst of racism stir, Morrissey moves gig to Finland – British singer gave support to extremist right-wing activists

Morrissey was scheduled to appear in Helsinki in late July. According to the promoter a new date for the gig has not yet been given

British singer Morrissey has announced that he will change all his gigs in Britain and on the European Tour for the second time. As a reason for the concerts to be cancelled, the singer has announced it’s due to ‘ logistical problems ‘.

This includes the artist’s Facebook page. In Finland the first to report is was the Iltalehti.

The cancellation follows the stir of racism in which the singer – once again – has landed. Morrissey has publicly stood up to defend far-right-wing activist who is sentenced to jail for contempt of court says The Guardian. As a result, a number of “former fans” was reported earlier this week to arrange an anti-racist event in Manchester at the time of the singer’s gig.

– For reasons beyond the organizers, the gig has been postponed. New days have not yet been given, but we have been promised a gig. The tickets are fully refunded and a new day is put on sale, Keskinen says.
