Thankfully we have sites like Israellycool who do the job we wish the international media would do…

Pallywood of the Day: Damsel in Distress Edition

Upon seeing this photo, I immediately suspected Pallywood: there is no visible threat around, not even teargas; the way there is conveniently one “damsel in distress” to be “saved” by the youths; the equally convenient presence of a photographer right in front of them, who is presumably not running for his life; and the fact it is highly unlikely those running for their lives would link hands like this, even to somehow shield the person in front of them, given snipers would anyway be positioned higher up.

The photo seems to be from AFP, taken by photographer Said Khatib. A closer look at it seems to reaffirm my view.

Note the expressions on the faces of the youth circled. They almost look like they are smiling, and certainly not like those supposedly running for their lives. Even the woman does not look fearful or distressed in any way.

For these reasons, plus the palestinians track record in staging such scenes (with the help of stringers who work for the mainstream media), I strongly suspect this is yet another example of Pallywood.
