Germany: Marxist-Leninist MLPD party seething after Deutsche Bank terminates all its accounts due to PFLP terror contacts…….

JPOST (real) investigative journalist, Benjamin Weinthal has been hot on the trail of the Marxist-Leninist party’s links to the PFLP, a Marxist-Leninist Palestinian terrorist group responsible for a large number of international terrorist attacks.

In September Weinthal fielded this report concerning the NY Comptroller investigating the MLPD’s connections to the PFLP a result of a previous story by JPost reporter, in which he highlighted the Palestinian terror-linked party’s quest for a seat in the Bundestag. As a result of that US investigation, the German Deutsche Bank has terminated all of their (MLPD’s) accounts, and they’re not happy, and have filed an injunction to stop the move.

The following piece (Google translated from the original German) shows that they’re now aiming to discredit the JPost reporter because he’s a JPost reporter. How they aim to counter the claims made by Weinthal, backed up by the NY Comptroller (financial officers) is beyond me. It looks more like they’re actually crying ”Jew’‘ than actually crying ”foul”, and will end up losing their case, as they should.

NOTE: The Marxist party doesn’t like being outed for their ties to terror now do they. You would think that they would embrace it as part of ”their struggle”.

The Marxist-Leninist Party of Germany announced on Thursday that the Deutsche Bank and the Postbank shut down all of the party’s bank accounts in Germany.

Deutsche Bank and Postbank terminate all MLPD accounts

Today, Deutsche Bank and its subsidiary, Postbank, terminated all MLPD accounts at federal, state and local level.

Just on the same day, the district court of Hamburg issued an injunction against a suspected instigator of this politically motivated, illegal boycott.

The layoffs apparently go back to the slander of the MLPD by Benjamin Weinthal and the Jerusalem Post . “This is a massive attack on the MLPD’s ability to operate,” said Gabi Fechtner, chairwoman of the MLPD, in a recent statement: “Shortly after the federal elections, it marks a new high point in a criminalization campaign against the MLPD and in the politically motivated bank boycott. ”

Weinthal is known as the notorious slanderer of any criticism of the imperialist state of Israel. For this he regularly uses the Jerusalem Post and denigrates any factual criticism of the policy of the Netanyahu government as anti-Semitism.

In an article dated September 30, 2017 Weinthal – with obvious lies – asked the Deutsche Bank to terminate the accounts of the MLPD, as they allegedly support terrorists. This was directed against the MLPD and its solidarity with the Palestinian liberation struggle.

Interim injunction against Weinthal and Jerusalem Post

Both Weinthal and the Jerusalem Post must refrain from their untrue factual claims. The MLPD continues: “The injunction of the district court Hamburg against the Jerusalem Post and Benjamin Weinthal was received by the MLPD just today .

In it, they are prohibited from further spreading the defamation of the MLPD under penalty of 250,000 euros or imprisonment for up to six months. (AZ 324 O 504/17) Forbidden are the lies in the future:

  • the MLPD had fundraising campaigns for the PFLP (Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine),
  • she had led the election campaign on a joint list with the PFLP
  • and she had 4,17 million euros available for the election campaign. “

US government pressure on Deutsche Bank?

Weinthal does not seem to be hindering this until now, asserting his influence with the ultra-reactionary US government. Has this pressure put pressure on Deutsche Bank? This in the direction of taking Weinthal’s unlawful slander as an opportunity to organize an unlawful politically motivated boycott of the MLPD?

Gabi Fechtner commented: “All slander concerning our alleged terrorist connections, which were triggered in the Bundestag elections, collapsed in substance and was forbidden by the judiciary. We urge Deutsche Bank and Postbank to immediately withdraw the redundancies and otherwise take legal action against them. ”

We will not leave it that way in any case

Gabi Fechtner, chair of the MLPD

Deutsche Bank never got through

The process is already history: Already in 1986 and 2009, the Deutsche Bank tried to terminate accounts of the MLPD. However, the Deutsche Bank has never come through with this evil method so far: both times these dismissals had to be withdrawn after judgments of the district court of Essen in each case. At that time unlawfully even the private account of Stefan Engel and his wife was terminated.

Gabi Fechtner calls on the democratically minded (media) public to take a stand against such deprivation of fundamental democratic rights of an admitted party:

“It is scandalous how, based on the federal government’s ‘left-wing extremism’ campaign, the rights of democratic left-wing parties and organizations are being curtailed, and in the wake of this campaign, it is no coincidence that ultra-reactionary and fascist forces are strengthening.”

In no case let that stand

“We will by no means leave it that way and intensify our efforts in building the Internationalist Alliance against the shift to the right of the government and leading German monopolies and banks,” said quintessential Gabi Fechtner.
