The morality police led by a homosexual Greens candidate…
The only reason why I make mention of his homosexuality, is that he wants increased punishments for what he considers immoral behavior, though there are many who still consider his own homosexuality immoral, but would never think to punish him for it. The mind of the Left is an illogical mess of rotting goo. His suggestion is immoral, far more than anything anyone (outside of calling for immediate violence) has ever said.
US Supreme Court judge, Louis Brandeis: “If there be time to expose through discussion the falsehood and fallacies, to avert the evil by the processes of education, the remedy to be applied is more speech, not enforced silence.”
Haavisto wants hate speech punishable: “It is completely immoral”
Haavisto expressed concern at the growing number of hooligans today in the opening speech of the Green Party Conference in Riihimäki. According to him, hate speech should be made more punishable than it is today.
Haavisto is said that he is ready for the possibility of tightening legislation on hate speech..
– If the freedom of expression is actively used to silence or harm people, I think it is completely immoral and should be punishable. – Either way, the individual speakers will be held accountable, or platforms, Haavisto says.
If there were more examples, Haavisto believes that the hate speech would also decrease gradually.
HAAVISTO tells he’s amazed when it comes to network discussions to see where the legal responsibility of the people has disappeared.
– I myself was once editor in chief and publisher of cultural journals. I remember very carefully how to deal with defamation. The responsibility of the publisher and the editor-in-chief is enormous, he says.
According to him, the publisher’s responsibility should be equal to electronic media, for example, in print media.
– It’s thought that it would be different when published in social media, but I do not think it is.
– If people are no longer afraid to take a stand in the debate, because the debate is not safe and they are afraid of being muted, it is not right and needs to be tackled.
Green President Touko Aalto also joined the opinion of Haavisto.
