Daniel Greenfield Flemming Rose Free Speech Mo-toons

Daniel Greenfield: College Leftists try to block editor who published Mohammed cartoons…….

I was able to question Mr.Rose during a live national broadcast on Finnish TV in Helsinki (Oct 2015), concerning the need for a European 1st amendment style legislation that protects free speech. He also makes mention of the fact that while US government restrictions on free speech is impeded by the 1st amendment, social restrictions are greatly affecting free speech in America. His entire speech in English can be seen and read here.

NOTE: Here’s a picture of snowflake morons lining the door showing their stupidity, their complete unworthiness of the privilege to be students in a teaching facility for higher education.

COLLEGE LEFTISTS TRY TO BLOCK EDITOR WHO PRINTED MOHAMMED CARTOONS

So the usual mix of campus lefties and Islamists tried to block a man who faced real threats of violence from speaking by claiming that they feel unsafe. This is how campus free speech now works.

Danish journalist and free speech advocate Flemming Rose recently drew an aggressive pack of student protesters to his speech at Franklin & Marshall College as he spoke on his book The Tyranny of Silence: How One Cartoon Ignited a Global Debate on the Future of Free Speech.

Except that free speech isn’t debated on campus. It’s suppressed with whining.

Rose in 2005 published cartoon depictions of the Islamic prophet Mohammed in his role as cultural editor of the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten, sparking international controversy and catapulting him to the forefront of free speech debates.
With that, several dozen student protesters converged at his campus talkMarch 2 voicing anger and outrage that Rose was allowed to speak on campus.
The Judaic studies professor who invited Rose noted in the campus newspaper that prior to the event he was confronted by the students, who “expressed feeling threatened and unsafe” and asked why he would bring someone to the campus who contributes to “ever-increasing feelings of vulnerability, marginalization, and fear for our safety.”

This is boilerplate stuff. It’s also the victimizers playing victim. And the abusers declaring themselves to be the abused. It’s become a staple of intersectional activism for the bigots to preemptively claim that they’ve been traumatized and that the administration’s failure to pander to their hurt feelings hard enough is making them cry in their spilled soup.

  1. “Students”, you say ??? the expressions of concentrated stupidity tell you all that you need to know about the impossibility of ever getting a single rational thought into their skulls.
