Estonian patriots celebrate day of indpendence.
I am told by, Maria Kaljuste, who was at the front of the march with the head of the CPP Mart Helme, that when they first started these marches four years ago, they had only 140 people. Last year there were around 2500, yesterday there were over 3500 people, which is huge in a country of only 1.3 million.
This was not only a march celebrating Estonian independence, but also a protest against all the so called ‘elite’ gathered in the presidential mansion where prominent guests are invited to celebrate the national holiday. Finland has the exact same traditions.
