The media, both foreign and domestic, didn’t get into a frenzy over Obama’s ban on Iraqis coming into the county in 2011, this is the exact same thing.
‘This is not a Muslim ban!’ Trump defends his ‘extreme vetting’ order as he says Obama created the list of seven targeted countries and did the SAME THING to Iraqi refugees in 2011
The President of the United States has reiterated his belief that America needs to strengthen its borders – just hours after thousands protested (right) against his controversial executive order authorizing the temporary detention of travelers from seven Muslim-majority countries.
The president issued a scathing statement insisting that ‘this is not a Muslim ban, as the media is falsely reporting.’
Trump said his new policy is ‘similar to what President Obama did in 2011 when he banned visas for refugees from Iraq for six months.’
And he credited the Obama White House with creating the list of seven countries that he started with – Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.
