ADL Islam 101 Islamic anti-Semitism Islamic history

Anti-Defamation League unwittingly takes on Islamic history in demand Huffington Post take down antisemitic post……..

Thanks to Brian of London for this one, it’s going to be mightily fun to watch.

From Bukhari’s Hadith 3.786:
Narrated Anas bin Malik:  A Jewess brought a poisoned (cooked) sheep for the Prophet who ate from it. She was brought to the Prophet and he was asked, “Shall we kill her?” He said, “No.”  I continued to see the effect of the poison on the palate of the mouth of Allah’s Apostle.

They’ve literally pushed themselves right into a box, or a painted corner. They can only do one of two things after realizing what they just did,

1.) Be horrified like Swedish FM, Margot Wallström was after taking on Saudi human rights abuses, only to find out that its wrapped up in sharia law, and then sweep it all under the rug thereby delegitmizing themselves even more as a Jewish advocacy group that supposed to focus on Jew hatred no matter where it raises its ugly head.

2.) Take the fight head on with Islamic leaders, in getting them to reject those (already approved and trusted ) hadiths that say the Jews tried to poison their prophet which they’ll never do.

Which of those two options are the likely scenario? 🙂

“It is troubling that an antisemitic screed cleared The Huffington Post’s editorial review process and that our concerns so far have been ignored,” said ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt. “We call on The Huffington Post to immediately remove this offensive entry and to ensure that the proper safeguards are in place so that the Arabic site is free of antisemitism and incitement against Jews.”

The Anti-Defamation League called on the Huffington Post’s Arabic-language edition to remove a blog post claiming a Jewish woman poisoned the Prophet Muhammad with arsenic.

The ADL has been urging the site to take down the article since shortly after it was published Nov. 29, the organization said in a press release on Thursday.

The ADL said that after urging the site to remove the piece, the headline was changed to frame the arsenic charge as a question: “Did the Prophet Die From Being Poisoned With Arsenic?” However, the article’s content remained unchanged, according to the ADL.

The Huffington Post’s Arabic edition was also criticized late last month for calling attention to late pop singer George Michael’s “homosexual tendencies.”
