Twin brothers on trial in Tampere – suspected of involvement in the mass murder of 1000 victims at Camp Speicher

Finland’s most serious terrorism and war crimes trial so far, begins on Tuesday in Tampere.

Sitting in Pirkanmaa’s District Court in Tampere on Tuesday for a preparatory hearing, so far Finland’s most serious terrorism and war crimes related proceedings. Two Iraqis twin brothers, 24-year-old received charges against them for assassinations with terrorist intent and gross war crimes or assistance to those doing the killing. The indictment also included aggravated assault with terrorist intent.
They were suspected of being involved with those in the Camp Speicher massacre which occurred in 2014 in Iraq, where more than 1,000 soldiers and recruits were cruelly shot.
The suspects came Finland in the autumn of 2015, and they were arrested in an Finnish police operation as a result of an investigation as in the Forssa region in December 2015.
