BERLIN ATTACKER SHOT DEAD: Anis Amri killed in shootout in Milan, Italy

THE Berlin terror attack main suspect Anis Amri has been killed in a shootout with police in Milan, Italy.

Fingerprints have been confirmed to be those of Amri, who opened fire at police during a routine check at 3am this morning – he shot officer Christian Movio in the shoulder.

Police say Amri shouted “Allahu Akbar” before dying.

He was initially thought to have been spotted in Denmark earlier this morning, before details of the shooting surfaced.

Amri is believed to have hijacked a lorry, shot the driver dead and then rampaged through a bustling Christmas market in Berlin, killing 12 and injuring 48, sparking a Europe-wide search.

Unconfirmed reports state Amri travelled on a train through France and into Italy, arriving at a Milan train station at around 3am.
