UPDATE: Victory for Canadian beef patriots as Earls CEO officially apologizes
In late April, Earls Restaurants decided to move to something called 100% “certified humane” beef, which wasn’t anything more than a sticker provided by an American licensing cartel to farmers willing to pay a ransom.
This was pure virtue signalling to people with no comprehension of how farmers raise beef in Canada.
I don’t like when farmers are maligned and neither did many of you because my petition to boycott Earls in the wake of their decision grew to 12,000 signatures.
We also found that the beef Earls was using from its new American certified humane slaughterhouse, Creekstone Farms, was killed in the Islamic ritual manner, Halal. A Muslim man said a prayer over each animal before its throat was slit. That’s humane?
I hand delivered our petition to Earls Vancouver HQ and kept the boycott going strong.
