A ‘super jihadist’ has recruited 80% of ISIS’s French-speaking militants with propaganda videos featuring rap music and Hollywood-style editing, according to French authorities.

Omar Omsen, also known as ‘Omar Diaby’, was born in Senegal but grew up in Nice.

The 41-year-old moved to Syria in 2013 and is now seen by his followers as a spiritual leader.

He leads a battalion of French jihadists and and has produced a sickening film celebrating the ‘Charlie Hebdo’ attacks of January 2015.

Fouad El Bathy, who saw Omsen while in Syria attempting to rescue his sister, told CNN: ‘All the guys were looking at him like he was god, like it was a sect.’

ISIS propagandists have a history of using of aspects of popular culture, such as rap music, to enhance their videos.

In April, pro-ISIS media group, al-Wa’ad media productions published a clip depicting the fall of the Eiffel Tower using graphics taken from the Call of Duty video game.
