‘I’ve done my bit… now I want my life back’: Nigel Farage QUITS as Ukip leader after Brexit vote (and this time he says he means it)
Nigel Farage declared he had ‘done my bit’ by winning the EU referendum. He said that during the hard-fought EU referendum battle he had campaigned to win ‘my country back’ and said this morning: ‘What I am saying today is I want my life back’. Mr Farage will continue as an MEP until Britain official cuts ties with Brussels and will continue to battle with EU chiefs, such as Jean-Claude Juncker (the pair pictured embracing in the European Parliament top right last week) to ensure Britain negotiates the best possible deal with the union. The Ukip leader told reporters in central London this morning that he ‘couldn’t possibly achieve more than I managed to get in that referendum’, which he has celebrated enthusiastically (pictured bottom right)ever since the shock result last Thursday.
