And when asked (if ever) what does she mean by ‘multiculturalism’, she’ll give you one or multiple explanations that exists, since there is no clear cut answer.
Finland always has been to a small degree, ‘multiethnic’, that’s not in question. What it never has been however, is a country devoted to placing different cultures on equal footing with that of its own, regardless of where it comes from, or what it represents. This new cult of thinking is alien, as it should be, and remain so.
Interior Ministry Chief of Staff Nerg to H.S.: I would like to live in a multicultural Finland
Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior Päivi Nerg says in Helsingin Sanomat interview that those who received asylum in Finland are relatively few in number.
According to her, 10 000 asylum that have been received is “peanuts” compared to 300 000 refugees arriving to Finland.
Nerg says that she hopes that she could live in a multicultural Finland. However, such a command as such can not be built, she says the magazine.
Still, she is hopeful in terms to the growth of multiculturalism.
– All good experiences have come from the contact interaction between two peoples. It has opened routes to a common activities. As in music, in football and in skiing, Nerg says to Helsingin Sanomat.
MTV3 (TT translation)
NOTE: Interaction (politics, economics, military alliances) between peoples from different countries and areas and regions takes shape in formal treaties, which respects the differences between peoples. People hailing from vastly different areas and cultures, speaking different languages, and living within the same state, and not being expected to assimilate into the dominant culture, is recipe for disaster. But those belonging to the cult of multiculturalism adhere to a strict orthodoxy, utopian based, and will not be moved reason based upon the historical record. For them, Yugoslavia was a ”grand experiment ” to be tried again and again regardless of each failed result.
“A very worrying attitude for a high official, whose task should be promoting the interests of our country.”
