A TT correspondent, conducted an interview with an Indian who had been living in Russia, he since returned to India.
The contact validates a report from the TT’s other correspondent, Stefan of Helsinki, concerning Russian criminal organizations (mafia) working with the state in sending foreigners to Finland and to Europe as well.

Abhay: My main concern is my own country and anything that can put it back on its feet is welcome. I had Pakistani friends in Russia and they told me that they sent many Pakistani guys to Finland
TT correspondent: Interesting!
Abhay: Yeah, they were ready to send me to Finland and/or to Denmark but my family didn’t want it.
TT: So it is definitely and organised policy.
Abhay: Yes
TT: At least my analysis is correct on this issue. How do they ‘send you to Finland and/or Denmark’? I am just wondering how they are doing this? Are they making life as uncomfortable as possible for non-Russians?
Abhay: By taking some money and sending illegally, by seeking political asylum, they were ready to send me to Finland and Denmark but my family didn’t want me to go.
TT: What did they do to force you to leave Russia? What was the final straw? You seemed happy there only a couple of weeks ago.
Abhay: They lost my passport and then didn’t reissue me another one, they only issued an emergency certificate to return to india.
TT: Yes, frequently it is the small bureaucratic technicalities that are used to push policy.
Abhay: Yes
TT: Could they be using that as a leaver to push people towards the EU, in addition to the bribery approach you mentioned above. Is it carrot AND stick or just carrot?
Abhay: Yes, everything.
TT: Are they using violence and intimidation too? The Mafia approach to government?
Abhay: yes, the mafia works for them.
