CRIMINAL PROSECUTION An applicant for asylum is accused of, among other things, aggravated rape of another asylum seeker. The case began in South Karelia District Court on Tuesday.
The trial took place behind closed doors and papers were declared to be secret for 60 years.
The judge, Hannu Rantalainen,confirmed to the Ilta-Sanomat that an applicant for asylum stands accused of the offenses. The plaintiff is also an asylum seeker. Both are men.

The suspected crimes took placee in Lappeenranta on 8 -10th of November 2015. A man born in 1980 is accused of aggravated rape, rape, illicit viewing, and assault with blackmail.
The man suspected of the offenses has been in prison since 11.13.2015. The court will render its verdict on 2 February.
