An explosion in Istanbul that injured several and reportedly killed at least one person on Tuesday was caused by a bomb, the mayor of the city’s Bayrampasa district said, Reuters reported. At least one person was killed in an explosion at an Istanbul metro station on Tuesday, multiple outlets reported. The explosion was initially believed to have been from a power transformer, Turkey’s Haberturk reported, but Turkish broadcaster NTV later reported on the potential of a bomb.
