Gershon Mesika, former head of the Samaria Regional Council, observed the suspect with a knife trying to attack a girl while he was driving by in his car. He drove into the suspect and as a result, his vehicle landed in the ditch beside the road.
Soldiers who were in the area closed in on the suspect and shot her. The suspect was seriously injured following the incident. Mesika remained unharmed aside from minor bruising.
“I was in my car near the hitchhiking station and I saw a terrorist who was running after a girl and someone yelled terrorist. I saw her with her drawn knife, and in a split second I rammed her with my car. She fell and then a soldier came and finished the job, he shot her,” Mesika told Army Radio on Sunday morning.
