Tens of thousands take to the streets in Germany in right-wing marches against immigration
FEARS right-wing radicalism is on the rise in Germany are growing after around 20,000 took to the streets to campaign against huge numbers of migrants entering the country.
Angry protestors marched in the biggest rally in months as they urged for the Government to act on an expected ONE MILLION refugees arriving this year alone.
Organised by the Patriotic Europeans Against Islamisation of the West (PEGIDA) it is the second major protest in a week, following Monday’s event which saw English Defence League founder Tommy Robinson among the speakers.
The activist, who was released from prison earlier this year about being jailed for mortgage fraud, told the crowds: “Our borders are being overrun. There is little or no control. A country that cannot control its borders will soon not be a country.
“We need one banner. Save our culture. Save our country. Save our future. Unite to save a future for our children.”
The anti-government rallies in the city of Dresden, which has a population of around half a million, saw many waving German flags and chanting “out! Out!” and “Deport! Deport!”
The concerns have coincided with a drop in support for Chancellor Angela Merkel who has been criticised for opening the borders to Syrian refugees.
Government figures have hit out at the rise in radicalism and xenophobia.
So it’s called right-wing radicalism to want to defend your country from uncontrolled illegal immigration. How insane is that?
