Germany’s Jewish community has voiced fears over Angela Merkel´s refugee policy allowing ‘sworn enemies’ of Israel to settle in the country.
The Central Council for Jews in Germany warn of growing anti-Semitism as a result.
‘Among the people who seek refuge in Germany are many from countries where Israel is the enemy,’ said Josef Schuster, leader of the group.
‘These people have grown up with this hostility to Israel and often transfer their resentment to Jews in general.’
Experts have long warned of rampant anti-Semitism, especially among Arab youth, in Germany
He added that it was imperative that the newcomers were instructed in a German ‘community of values’ as swiftly as possible.
