During his speech to world leaders Monday at the United Nations General Assembly, President Barack Obama took on Islam’s critics that often associate Muslims with terrorism.

Obama said, “Part of our job, together, is to work to reject such extremism that infects too many of our young people. Part of that effort must be a continued rejection by Muslims of those who distort Islam to preach intolerance and promote violence. And it must also involve a rejection by non-Muslims of the ignorance that equates Islam with terror.”

“It is hard to believe that Obama is incapable of seeing and understanding what everyone else can see and understand. The only reasonable conclusion is that he doesn’t WANT to see or understand.

The subsequent question then is why he does not wish to acknowledge truths that everyone sees for themselves – INCLUDING many/most mainstream Muslims (just ask the racist Palestinians for their opinions on this subject): that Islam aims to dominate and subjugate other religions and cultures.

That is the subject of a whole range of conjecture/conspiracy theory/pathology/psychoanalysis. But there is little doubt that there is something that lies behind Obama’s determination to force us to ignore reality.”
