Shut up, and do as we say.
This is how government officials view the citizen, with contempt. How about politicians trying to actively seek how they can restrict money to the immigration service?
Immigration taxpayer Service to stop asking municipalities about new reception centres
The Finnish Immigration Service has announced that in order to quicken the pace of setting up new asylum seeker reception centres, it will not be asking if municipalities actually want to host them.
The Immigration Service says that while it will continue to inform municipalities about plans to set up reception centres for asylum seekers on private property, it will not be asking the towns how they feel about the matter.
If a centre is planned in a municipality in a privately owned facility, it will be operated by an outside entity like the Red Cross, rather than the municipality, the Immigration Service says.
Currently officials are awaiting decisions about setting up new reception centres in seven different municipalities.
The Immigration Service says that it will wait for those communities to decide. But in the future, they say, the process must be quickened.
