You would have to be a complete idiot to vacation in a muslim country, let alone one near the full blown jihad.
Tunisia: almost 2,000 police deployed in resorts, minister
Terrorist that inspired Sousse attacker killed, 12 arrests
TUNIS – Tunisia’s minister for relations with civil society, Kamal Jendoubi, said Thursday that the fight against terrorism concerned all countries and not just his own. The comment was made during a press conference.
On the investigations into the recent killings at a Sousse tourist resort, he said that 12 people had been arrested and that eight – including one woman – were still in detention.
He added that there are 1,770 police deployed across the country at hotels and beaches to ensure safety at tourism facilities. Since an attack on Tunis’s Bardo museum, security forces have carried out thousands of searches and questioned 1,000 people, arresting 120 for terrorism-related crimes. On the issue of state control of mosques, Jendoubi said that Béchir Ben Hassan, imam in Msaken, and Ridha Belhaj, spokesman for the Salafi party Hizb Al-Tahrir and imam of the Sidi Abdelhamid mosque, had been ordered to stop using mosques for political ends. ”The war against terrorism will be long, but Tunisia will win,” the minister said.
