The 50th British jihadi to be killed after joining travelling to Syria and Iraq was the last surviving member of the ‘Portsmouth boys’, it has been revealed.
Assad Uzzaman, 25, was one of five men who styled themselves the Britani Brigade Bangladeshi Bad Boys and left Britain to fight with ISIS.
The group were spotted on camera walking through Gatwick airport in October 2013 as they headed for the war-torn country.
Of the group, who later called themselves the ‘Pompey Lads’, four are now dead and a fifth, Mashudur Choudhury, is serving a prison term in the UK.
