N.IRELAND PREACHER EXPRESSING RELIGIOUS BELIEF ABOUT ISLAM TO BE PROSECUTED…….

But tards saying Jesus was a muslim and no such thing as the trinity, and Christians and Jews will burn in hell, well, that’s just religious expression.

During a sermon at the Whitewell Metropolitan Tabernacle in May last year, McConnell said: ‘People say there are good Muslims in Britain – that may be so – but I don’t trust them. ‘Islam is heathen, Islam is satanic, Islam is a doctrine spawned in hell.’

Charged: Preacher James McConnell is accused of making a ‘grossly offensive’ statement

A controversial preacher backed by Northern Ireland’s First Minister is being prosecuted over a sermon in which he called Islam ‘satanic’.

James McConnell, an evangelical Christian, caused controversy with his comments that he did not trust ‘heathen’ Muslims during a church service in Belfast.

Peter Robinson backed his remarks, saying he would not take religious advice from a Muslim, and was forced to apologise.

Now McConnell, 78, has been charged with making a ‘grossly offensive’ statement, according to Northern Ireland’s Public Prosecution Service.

He was offered the chance to accept a warning, meaning he would not have to go to court, but turned it down.

A spokesman for the prosecutors said today: ‘I can confirm that following consideration of a complaint in relation to an internet broadcast of a sermon in May 2014, a decision was taken to offer an individual an informed warning for an offence contrary to the Communications Act 2003.

‘That offence was one of sending, or causing to be sent, by means of a public electronic communications network, a message or other matter that was grossly offensive.

‘The offer of an informed warning was refused by the defendant and accordingly the matter is now proceeding by way of a summary prosecution in the Magistrates Court.’
