Troublemakers interrupt Finns party election event Friday night in Turku.

MEP Jussi Halla-aho’s speech at the library in the City of Turku was interrupted by a few people in the audience when they stood up and waved his cards and shouted.

“There was a large group of some left-wing activists. They showed swastikas on posters, which was marked with an X,” Halla-aho says.

Security stewards removed the troublemaker from the room quickly.

“Someone put up some resistence. I seemed to see that someone was picked up and carried out. They were then left behind the windows to continue with their troublemaking,” Halla-aho told.

There were tens of them in the room, there were a total of twenty. Some did not get in the hall, because they did not want to show their papers.

Halla-aho characterized the incident as nasty , but was not afraid.

“There were some big men taking care of the security. I was confident that the event was completely under control,” Halla-aho says.

Halla-aho thinks that he was the likely target.

“I hope that the media would take such events seriously. The Finns Party is constantly vandalized. I also fear that violent behavior from Sweden will start coming ashore to Finland.”

The event organized by the parliamentary election candidate, Vilhem Junnilainen, who says that the troublemakers had been prepared in advance.

There were five police officers and the doorman.

“The event was also attended by Sweden Swedish Democrats MP Kent Ekeroth. Swedish police had been in contact with the Finnish police in advance,” says Junnila.

According to Junnila, the troublemakers were organized, the anarchist Varis-group (Crow) already had for several days been gathering people online for the event.

“We were prepared. Security was very good. I was never worried.”

“It is unfortunate that this is happening, but we can’t do anything about it. These anarchists do not care for democracy nor elections elections.”

The topic was immigration policy. The harassment was first reported by the Iltalehti.
