STALINIST SWEDEN TAKES A HIT, EU COMMISSION QUESTIONS SWEDISH VOTING RULES……..

It’s a case of pot calling the kettle black

Sweden’s farcical and anti-democratic voting practices are a fact, but it amuses me that the ‘EU Commission’ believes that it had a moral finger to wave, especially in light of its own leviathan and anti-democratic institutions choosing what rules it will follow. For example, no member state is supposed to be liable for another member state’s debts, but yet member states have been coughing up loans to Greece over the last four years.

Or how about recognizing the people’s vote, instead of repeated stabs (attempts) at gutting their voice in new referendums accompanied with massive disinformation blitzes to fool the people into ”voting right”, as they did with the disgusting EU Constitution (Lisbon Treaty)?

Sweden is wrong in how it color coats voting ballots, in the wink wink, nudge nudge practice of making it easier to count votes. It’s nothing more than intimidation of the voter for voting wrong, just like the EU itself does to the peoples of France and Ireland who voted against their democratic despotism wrapped in a supposed legitimate constitution.

In Sweden it takes an extra effort to keep your vote secret, compared to many other countries, and now the European Commission is asking the Swedish government to comment on Swedish election praxis.

“When I got into the polling station I simply couldn’t believe my eyes” says Christian Dworeck, who moved to Sweden from Germany. He went to vote in the EU election last year.

What he saw was a big table full of voting slips for each party. He could clearly see who people were voting for, by seeing which of the different party ballot papers they took.

If you really want to make sure no one sees who you vote for you have to literally take slips from all the parties – and there can be dozens. This includes at least eight major parties and many small radical, joke or single-issue ones.

In Sweden there are lots of individual ballot papers because each party has its own list of candidates. That means each party needs a whole slip of its own in order to present the whole slate, this allows people to vote up the lower candidates if they want.

But do the Swedish people even mind people seeing who they vote for?

Amanda Lövkvist at a liberal NGO says the reaction she mainly gets is Swedes saying to her they know they can make their vote secret, but they just choose not to bother hide who they vote for. She says this means those who want to be secret have to make an extra effort – it is their responsibility.

But new Swedish voter Christian Dworeck is not impressed, and he has asked the EU Commission to make sure Sweden is keeping to the rules on everyone’s right to keep their vote secret.

  1. Another peculiar feature is the fact that the ballot papers are not provided by the state or municipality. Each party has to order the ballot papers from the State electoral authority and distribute them to polling stations. The costs are paid by the state if the party has represantation in the body the election is organized for or if it received more than 1% of the vote in the previous election.

Ballot papers can also be sent to the voters beforehand together with other election related material.

This type of setup favors bigger parties with large organizations.

There are reported cases, in which the ballot papers of certain party went “missing” i.e. the election official thew them into garbage bin.

If you want to keep your vote secret, you can either take the ballot papers of each party to the voting booth or use a blank ballot paper that are always available in every polling station.

The main bad thing in the Swedish voting system is the element of social control. Others can see what ballot papers you take when you go to the voting booth. A simple solution that is also proposed in the SR article would be to erect a wall in front of the ballot papers that would prevent others from seeing what ballot papers you took to the booth.
