So let me get this straight, there are areas in France where even French journalists, politicians and scholars have deemed as ”no-go zones”, as noted in the Soeren Kern’s piece at Gatestone Institute (mentioned in Lori’s article), and yet this mayor insists on rejecting the evidence staring straight at her. Read both Lori Lowenthal Marcus’ and Soeren Kern’s pieces and decide for yourself whether the mayor of Paris is delusional.

The mayor of Paris told CNN on Tuesday that she will sue Fox News.
Why?
Mayor Anne Hidalgo told CNN reporter Christiane Amanpour that she must sue to preserve the honor of her fair city.
“The image of Paris has been prejudiced, and the honor of Paris has been prejudiced,” Hidalgo said. “I think we’ll have to sue, I think we’ll have to go to court, in order to have these words removed.”
Hidalgo was responding to some segments on Fox News in which various commentators stated that there are parts of Paris and other European cities where Muslims predominate and where there is so much uncontrolled violence that police are afraid to venture. These areas have been referred to as “no-go zones” for non-Muslims.
Of course, the fact that there are some areas in France as well as in England and other European countries where non-Muslims fear to go and which police have at least unofficially declared “no-go” zones doesn’t seem to play any role in this ludicrous game of “Let’s Pretend.”
One expert mistakenly referred to the entire city of Birmingham, England as a “no-go zone,” for which he apologized, as did Fox News. That expert, Steve Emerson, would have been accurate had he instead said that merely parts of Birmingham are no-go zones. And while there are certainly safe areas in Paris and its suburbs, there are indeed entire Muslim neighborhoods deemed too violent to enter.
A multi-part exposé on the topic by Soeren Kern, “European ‘No-Go’ Zones: Fact or Fiction” is currently being run at the Gatestone Institute.
While some of the statements about “no-go” zones were over-inclusive, the idea that a city is going to sue a television station for insulting its honor is at the very least equally deserving of ridicule.
It’s a typical reaction from a cowed West. It reminds me of this proverb:
“The worst of men is not the man who lets himself be bullied, but the man, who fearing reprisals from the bully, shouts loud against those who wish to protect him. This is the biggest coward of them all and what is more, he can never be trusted. ”
or alternatively, the same proverb in essence:
“The most repugnant of cowards are those that shout the loudest against their friends and protectors, but remain silent in criticism of their enemy. These are the people who will commit treachery in order to save their own worthless hides but will eventually be devoured by a foe that they had gone to such great lengths not to offend.”
Both quotes are without a reliable source but wise nevertheless.
Many Westerners are suffering from the same syndrome. It’s a form of Stockholm syndrome caused by years of affluence, soft propaganda and no experience of war. But just because our generations have had no war and have gone to great lengths to avoid one, does not mean that conflict will avoid us. As one great statesman said to the appeaser Neville Chamberlain:
“You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor and you will have war.”

It’s coming whether we like it or not. The question is, do we allow ourselves to be enslaved as cowards or do we fight back?
