Hey sheldon, keep your yap shut.
In my opinion, a blockade of Iranian ports from receiving the needed petrol that they have refined abroad, is far more reasonable of a solution than dropping a nuke in a desert. For maximum results real political resolve and action, maritime action, is needed, shooting from the hip & lip like that doesn’t do anyone any favors.
NOTE: Adelson is big wig GOP establishment supporting maroon (though I appreciate his pro-Israel efforts) who is at war with the Tea Party / conservatives as well. He has to love present day (epic fail) GOP establishment strategies/politics vis-a-vis the Democrats (who are running circles around his team, otherwise why plop so much money down backing loser RINOS) so his foray into international politics should be viewed under that rubric. Loser.
American billionaire Sheldon Adelson, who spent millions trying to unseat President Obama, is suggesting the US should drop a nuclear bomb on Iran as a warning.
The controversial comments were made during a panel at Yeshiva University on Tuesday evening. Adelson said the US should make demands from a position of strength and not negotiate with Iran, according to The Jerusalem Post.
Sheldon Adelson not only lost large sums of money during the 2012 Presidential campaign supporting Mitt Romney, he is one of the biggest donors to organizations that want to impose sanctions on the Western Asian nation.
The following is the scenario, which according to Adelson, should replace diplomacy:
“What are we going to negotiate about? I would say ‘Listen, you see that desert out there, I want to show you something.’…You pick up your cell phone and you call somewhere in Nebraska and you say, ‘OK let it go.’ And so there’s an atomic weapon, goes over ballistic missiles, the middle of the desert, that doesn’t hurt a soul. Maybe a couple of rattlesnakes, and scorpions, or whatever. Then you say, ‘See! The next one is in the middle of Tehran. So, we mean business. You want to be wiped out? Go ahead and take a tough position and continue with your nuclear development. You want to be peaceful? Just reverse it all, and we will guarantee you that you can have a nuclear power plant for electricity purposes, energy purposes.’ “
Adelson went on to say that the only thing Iran understands is a demonstration of strength and he believes negotiating with the terrorist state is a sign of weakness.
The billionaire blasted the Obama administration for trying to engage in diplomacy with the Iranian regime, calling it “the worst negotiating tactic I could ever imagine, my entire life.”
