TED CRUZ ANNOUNCES HIS PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDACY: WE STAND TOGETHER FOR LIBERTY…….

He’s got my vote, been following him for years, I know exactly what he stands for, liberty!

Cruz announced his candidacy  for president early, because he has to make the case and take it to the American people, many of whom have not heard a real conservative speak, stump of the campaign trail. You have to energize people, give them hope, show them that there’s another way, the constitutional way for better self government.

The U.S. has lost its way, as radio talk show host and constitutional scholar and author of many books on the subject, Mark Levin, often says, the U.S. is in a post-constitutional period, has been for many decades, and needs to be turned back from the brink of destruction. The anti-American dems do not hold keys to success for America’s future, nor do the go-along GOP Old Guard, they are both part of the problem.

The need to end fake capitalism (cronyism) and peel back the welfare state and the unconstitutional administrative state of the bureaucracy is now. Ted can be the catalyst in helping to energize the American people to turn the country around, and help liberate themselves from oppressive government and its policies and the anchored politician, who cares more for his/her own political future than the fate of the country.

CRUZ ASKS AMERICA TO ‘IMAGINE’ IN PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN ANNOUNCEMENT SPEECH

LYNCHBURG, Virginia — More than 10,000 people here at Liberty University’s convocation on Monday morning went wild as conservative Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) announced his presidential campaign, asking Americans to “imagine a president” who stands up for the values they believe in.

He started off the speech by calling talking about his personal and familial roots, where he came from and how he became what he is—explaining he believes that is the “promise of America.”

He started with his mom:

Imagine your parents when they were children, imagine a little girl, growing up in Wilmington, Delaware, during World War Two, the daughter of Irish and Italian Catholic family, working class, her uncle ran numbers in Wilmington, she grew up with dozen of cousins because her mom was the second youngest of 17 kids, she had a difficult father, a man who drank far too much, and frankly didn’t think that women should be educated, and yet this young girl, pretty and shy, was driven, was bright, was inquisitive, and she became the first person in her family ever to go to college. In 1956, my mom, Eleanor, graduated from Rice University with a degree in math, and became a pioneering computer programmer in the 1950s and 1960s.”

After that, he shifted to his dad:

  1. Not very excited about Cruz. I like most of his platform, but he’s weak on amnesty, and I can do without the Bible-thumping and the anti-abortion stance. Walker has a lot in common with Cruz, but he’s dead-set against Amnesty (the only main-stream candidate who is) and doesn’t seem to be as fundamentalist in his Christianity. So far, Walker gets my vote.

  2. If Cruz wants to “repeal every word of Obamacare”, he’d better have something to put in its place. There are actually a few million people who are benefiting from it (out of a population of 320,000,000+) and they’ll be hopping mad if their coverage is taken away.
Also, I don’t trust him on amnesty at all since he’s already been strongly on both sides. He’s a Hispanic politician and those people always end up siding with Hispanic illegal immigrants. Also, he was born in a foreign country, with 3 citizenships bestowed upon him at birth! Sorry, but I think the Founders would be horrified. We already have a President with a foreigner for a father, and you see how he turned out. Loyalty to everything but the U.S.A. The home country of Obama’s father has been the beneficiary of so much U. S. taxpayers’ money, most of it aimed at helping the muslims there achieve power and institution of Sharia law. I want a President who was born in this Country to citizen parents, who has been imbued with American values from birth. That’s not too much to ask.

    1. Hi Pavelina, First of all, he does have an alternative to it, I believe that it’s a work in conjunction with other similar minded conservative politicians and policy wonks. It’s a given that he’ll have something to offer as a replacement. As for a ”few million benefiting” from Obama-care, what about the millions of people kicked off their policies, forced to accept something of far lesser value and costs more?, not to mention the Byzantine tax codes that one needs a professional to wade through to see if they can get any money back as promised? I would be as concerned as to how ”hopping mad” they are about this catastrophe foisted upon them in the most partisan way imaginable.

Cruz policy concerning amnesty is first for controlling the border, enforcing existing laws and giving back the tools to law enforcement to carry out their mandate in securing the civil society. Then and only then, taking a look at what and how to handle the people here illegally. I know of no other politician to date offering anything more. He is a Latino (I choose not to use Nixon’s concocted term) but he’s more importantly A CONSERVATIVE, that fact freely flows from him, he doesn’t have to think about it, its in his DNA, which can be seen in his eloquent articulation of conservative values.

Yes he was born in a foreign country, but his mother is an American citizen, and both parents LOVE the US in the way Conservatives value its history and systems, the constitution. You would be hard pressed to find anything about the guy that doesn’t promote American values, if so, please place them here. I couldn’t care where he was born, I care for what he stands for, and you’re of course free to disagree with me, but I believe that he speaks for me. And until proven otherwise, I will support him.
