FINNISH PM EXCITES HIMSELF IN QATAR: “FASCINATING OPPORTUNITIES IN QATAR”……..!

Make sure that you read the fine print Jyrki.

Actually, I’m all for the taking of the Arabs’ wealth for our own, as long as the technology sold won’t allow them to compete with the West, and the relationship doesn’t result in our appeasing Islamic demands upon our society. That said, we know all  too well that daft politicians and crony/welfare faux capitalists can’t be trusted, and need to be held on a very tight leash.

Prime Minister Katainen spoke to Construction Week Qatar on the sidelines of a UAE-Finland Business Seminar hosted at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry yesterday.

“Qatar is really fascinating, because there are a lot of things happening. There are lots of big projects going on. What fascinates us and our companies is that, in Qatar, as well as here [in the UAE] the need is high level.

“The countries are asking for the best technology, for example energy-saving. For instance, we have an architecture firm called Sigge Architects planning floating hotels,” said Prime Minister Katainen.

“So in Qatar they said they are doing municipality planning that takes into account entire areas rather than individual buildings.

“What interests us is you have to combine different technologies, but also social innovations, and there our companies have lots to offer,” said Prime Minister Katainen.

The UAE-Finland Business Seminar followed talks with Qatar Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor al-Thani in Doha to discuss trade relations between the two countries.
