   For a citizen the Yle tax is based on income. The companies must also pay the Yle tax, the amount of which is based on turnover.

   A company with over 50 000 EUR turnover must pay 140 EUR Yle tax plus 0,35 per cent of turnover from the part of turnover that exceeds 50 000 EUR. The maximum amount for a private enterprise is 3000 EUR which is reached with the turnover of 868 000 EUR.

   The Yle tax is clearly harmful for small business but a negligible cost for big corporations.
