THE COUNTERJIHAD ENGAGES IN COUNTER-DAWA WITH SHI’ITES IN STOCKHOLM…….

Both the Tundra Tabloids and Sheik Yer’Mami were in Sweden last weekend, talking to Leftards and Mustards in the streets of Stockholm. It’s amazing how that society is changing, they’ve been ‘going green’ for quite some time now, and I don’t mean environmental green, rather Islam green.

Here is a case of a bunch of Shiites pimping their dawa at the famous plaza in Stockholm, with Leftards below them accusing Europe of not destroying itself enough, and fundamentalist Muslims, ‘mustards’ standing above them preaching Islam. What a bizarre tag team of radicals. These Shi’ites co-opt the concept of Mother’s Day, albeit on the day before the internationally accepted day, to pimp Fatima as a kind of ‘Mother’s Day’ for Muslims.

Never mind that they are inventing something to compete with Mother’s Day, and are by default, saying that as Muslims living within a Western country, ”we reject your holidays, so we are inventing something to draw people away from yours”. That’s how they think. Sorry for the crappy sound quality, the music was wailing so loudly that it almost cracked my cell phone recording the happening.

NOTE: I had a great time walking the streets of Stockholm with the Sheik, I can’t say that the waiters and customers in the restaurants we patronized, who got an ear full about what we think of Islam can say the same. The following video clip was taken this past Saturday in Stockholm, 12.5.2012.

  1. Shi’ite Dawa is nothing new. Twelver Shi’ism is particularly feared by Sunnis in general because of its proselytization drive. Whereas the main issues between Shi’ites and Sunnis derive mainly from eschatological differences, related to the succession dispute after Mohammed died, there is another particular reason why both groups find themselves at loggerheads with one another. The history of Iran itself explains quite poignantly why this still has repercussions in ME politics today. The Safavid conversion of Iran from Sunnism to Shiism made Iran the spiritual bastion of Shia Islam against the onslaught of orthodox Sunni Islam. And nowadays, as a majority Shi’ite country, all Shi’ite minorities in other Muslim countries consider Iran to be the guardian of Shi’ism as a whole.

When Shah Ismail I conquered Iran and established his rule in the early sixteenth century, he decided to eradicate all Sunnism from the country. Iran, at that time being majority-Sunni, was de facto proselytized to Shi’ism. One of the main reasons why Ismail and his followers pursued such a severe conversion policy was to give Iran and the Safavid lands as distinct and unique an identity as was possible compared to its two neighboring Sunni Turkish military and political enemies, the Ottoman Empire and, for a time, the Central Asian Uzbeks — to the west and north-east respectively. The Safavids were engaged in a lengthy struggle with the Ottomans — including numerous wars between the two dynasties — and this struggle continuously motivated the Safavids to create a more cohesive Iranian identity to counter the Ottoman threat and possibility of a fifth-column within Iran among its Sunni subjects. Ismail I and his Qizilbash military tribal chiefs were after all Shi’ites and were subject to persecution by the Ottomans well before they started conquering Iran. In order to enable the conversion, Ismail I, who held a vehement disdain for Sunnis, regularly resorted to violent measures. With the exception of cultural minorities on the fringes of Iranian society, like most Kurds and the nomadic Baloch, who remained Sunni, the sedentary population of Iran became gradually majority Shi’ite.

Whereas Sunnis deem Shi’ites to be heretics by default, they are also feared by Sunnis for violent persecution and conversion of Sunni Muslims to Shiism up to this day ! The historically justified paranoia of (among others) the Sunnis of the Arabian Peninsula carries over well into this century. Shortly after the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran, ayatollah Khomeini declared

“Islam proclaims monarchy and hereditary succession wrong and invalid. When Islam first appeared in Iran, the Byzantine Empire, Egypt, and the Yemen, the entire institution of monarchy was abolished.”

“In a republic or a constitutional monarchy, most of those claiming to be representatives of the majority of the people will approve anything they wish as law and then impose it on the entire population.”

Not only were both of these ideas consistent with Khomeini’s ideas regarding Velayat E Faqih (Rule of the Jurisprudent, i.e. the top-down enforced rule of clergymen, considered as the only righteous type of government possible), but also this reflected implicitly on the moral and materialistic corruption and the unjust rule of the Arabian Peninsula’s monarchies, including of course the rule of the Saudi Wahhabi fiefs. *

    * Ironically this idea had to lead eventually to the ousting of the Shah, although originally the Shi’ite clergy were patronized by Ismail I and his successors in order to firmly institutionalize legalistic Shi’ism to forge a national Iranian identity, distinct from the surrounding Sunni Ottoman and Uzbek powers. Which simply translates as ‘biting the hand that feeds you.’

  2. Shi’ite Dawa also became apparent as a proselytizing force during Saddam Hussein’s rule of Iraq. The Islamic Dawa Party was formed in the 1950’s by a group of Shi’ite leaders, with the aim of creating a party and a movement which would promote Islamic values and ethics, political awareness, combat secularism, and create an Islamic state in Iraq, at a time when politics in Iraq was dominated by secularist Arab nationalist and socialist ideas. (Ba’athism) It waged an armed insurgency against the Iraqi government which initiated a crackdown on Shia political activism, driven in part by the secular nature of the Ba’thist ideology and in part by their view of a politicized Shia as a threat to the stability of the regime. Hence Saddam Hussein’s regime began to target Dawa members, arresting and imprisoning them and the whole movement was designated as a terrorist organisation.

After the ill-advised American invasion of Iraq in 2003, however, the Islamic Dawa Party gained political legitimacy for the first time in its history, under the leadership of Nouri al Maliki, the current prime minister of Iraq. Thanks to the American invasion, the Shia ‘moral’ and geostrategical sphere of influence under the supervision of Tehran has grown. The political ideology of the Islamic Dawa Party is heavily influenced by the work of Iraqi Shi’ite clerics and also reflects Khomeini’s thoughts on Velayat E Faqih as a consequence. Dawa’s four mandatory principles of governance are:

    1. Absolute sovereignty belongs to God.
    2. Islamic injunctions are the basis of legislation. The legislative authority may enact any law not repugnant to Islam.
    3. The people, as vice-regents of Allah, are entrusted with legislative and executive powers.
    4. The jurist holding religious authority represents Islam. By confirming legislative and executive actions, he gives them legality.

At this point in time, it seems that Salafi (Sunni) Dawa* is increasingly competing with Shi’ite Dawa on the European continent. Also, both are de facto polar opposites. This might suggest that in the future, the West may expect that both groups could take their ME conflict openly to the public domain and public security may get compromised as a consequence of Salafi vs Shi’ite enmity !

  4. I had split a comment in two separate comments in reaction to this post. It seems that only the first comment got through. I’ve sent the second part to the gmail account you had (or still have ?), but I am not sure this email account is still valid.

  5. It is a bunch of women. They know they don’t rate high enough in lslam to get appreciation. They had to hunt until they found Mo’s mom. And what did she do? She gave us Mo and the result is death and destruction–she probably could do nothing about it either. Look at how Mo treated women. Remember how they trashed Valentine’s Day?

  6. Quote: This event is pure dawa and highly synthetic.

Much like the palestinians – a totally synthetic people, created for the purpose of waging Jihad on Israel.

  7. Muslim mother’s day??? What – is it “slaughter your child yourself, cut out the middleman Day”?
